Diravera Malvea, Vizier on exchange to the Grand Duchess Victoria
Not presently needed by their Grand Duchess, Diravera took a moment to reflect on the events of the masquerade. Overall, she was unimpressed. These were the so called heroes of Parson's Breach, yet they sat about squabbling over cattle and petty matters. Their King was missing, which if asked they would all most certainly say was of the greatest importance, she had yet to see that reflected in their action. Yes, there were stories told of battles and loss of life, though stories are so easy to exaggerate. She would have expected to see these people barter with the nobles. If they wanted the land so badly, let them earn it by adding financial support to the Breach. Purchasing supplies, sending sell swords. Instead a few people were slipped the odd coin, under hand and supposedly out of sight. She didn't think those at the Breach would be to interested in protecting someone's cows once that vampire returned.
She let out a sigh and settled into her seat. Presently, she was in the room their Grand Duchess had granted her for her stay. She had finished writing her observations on the human activity for yesterday, as an effort to better understand their culture. If only these people would get busy finding their King. Then trade negations could continue, and she could stop trying so hard to get along with these humans. It was all so dull, she really had no idea what she was expected to learn from all this. If one of her kind where to ask, how to better get along with the humans, she would tell them to slip them a few coins and laugh at stupid things. Not wanting to do nothing, she opened up a book where she had last left off. It was a summary of the different noble houses, lords, barons, counts, all the rest. Their family trees, which lands they held, at least at the time the thing had been written. Still, a basic understanding of such information was better then not.
