Rogue

Rogues are masters of stealth and surprise, slipping through shadows to strike from unexpected angles. They specialize in agility, disruption, and exploiting enemy weaknesses. While not as physically resilient as other classes, Rogues compensate with evasion and powerful attacks like Backstab and Assassinate.

What kinds of things are they good at?

Rogues excel at finding openings in enemy defenses and delivering devastating blows. They use skills like Evade, Stun, and Fear to control the fight, then vanish back into the fray. Rogues can also learn Tinkering to set and disarm traps, potentially ending conflicts before they even start.

What kinds of decisions do you need to make while building one?

Think about these elements of Rogue gameplay:

  • Ambush Style: Do you favor high-damage attacks or crowd control?
  • Evasion: Are you comfortable relying on dodging attacks rather than armor?
  • Trap Crafting: Do you enjoy the roleplay and puzzle-solving of Tinkering?

Rogues have a natural bent towards dexterity based skills. The lower Body Points, lighter armor and relatively high costs for combat skills makes them less suited for front line combat, but they find a way to make up for this by testing out unusual and inventive combat strategies, such as ambushing and trap-making.
