    September 26th-28th event info

Overlapping Ohio you are Matt Byers... so I can safely say: "Aw shucks I was totally going to drive up for this but now I can't because I have to be at OUR event to run plot..." Even though I'm dirt poor and couldn't afford gas yet-- after National I feel the NEED to come visit!

    Dryad Race

Ceaser Aura ftw (or Creamy Ceaser!) though I will admit Catalina would be more impressive in color and texture during battle. Now-- how do we get croutons? I don't want to have to bring my own they may get crushed. Can we add that as a spell to Eldritch Force or something? (lol- love those...

Or didn't they say to hit the (!) button on the lower part of the posts to "report" them? May be quicker than PM.

    Hobling Sideburns

Under "Dwarf" page 13 in the RB it says that female Dwarves often "Prefer" to wear their beard as a goatee.

    render and steeling/lost items

RB page 100 under "People and Props" "After the Ritual, assuming success, the item has a campaign number scribed on it and it then immediately becomes property of the campaign. Therefore players should not use items they wish to keep." Since it hasn't come up for me concerning taking...

    Biata eyebrows

I actually get my feathers now from sport supply stores like Gander Mountain or Dicks-- in the fly-fishing section they have hackle feathers in all manner of colors. They also have Biots which are the nice trailing thin feathers that looks so elegant on people. They're remarkably cheap...

What's so cool about the Biata? ;)

I would but I can't remember any HQ Biata coming to help MY people when we were being poisoned and eradicated by a Dark Elf lich and his hordes of undead and so forth... lol. :) Good luck with all that. I have the remnants of my own war to clean up/begin rebuilding.... lol

    Biata eyebrows

For a while I used "Lash Grip" -- the latex stuff they use to put on fake eyelashes. You can find it in Walmart near the fake nails/eyelash section. Even if you get it in your eyebrows it just, usually, peals out. Lash Grip doesn't hold well in the heat I've found though so you have to...

Is it wrong to bane necromancy?

Elegantly stated Master Hartsboon. And yes, my name is Quinn. I'm so used to being in my own lands that I sometimes forget in the wider world I'm anonymous. Also, among my people, Quinn is a male name. :) ~Quinn d'Earahah

Is it wrong to bane necromancy?

It doesn't use Necromancy, no, but a cloak or bane will CONTROL Necromancy either by absorbing/shattering the energy or reflecting it back at who cast it. I did not claim that they were against the law- they are not that is obvious to any idiot. I suggested that the use to which they are put...

Is it wrong to bane necromancy?

Perhaps baning or reflecting magic of a necromantic nature should be considered morally "touchy ground". After all there are easier protectives, such as spell shield, which will stop the effect without re-using the energy. Also creating a Bane Necromancy ritual is a conscious choice to focus...

Is it wrong to bane necromancy?

(shrug) I would say by choosing to create and/or use a bane necromancy item or ritual you are choosing to utilize necromantic energy but not to be the origination of those energies. Its the choice between "using" Chaos energy (by Baning or Reflecting it) or "destroying" it (such as with a...

Is it wrong to bane necromancy?

It could be argued that by baning a necromantic energy you are choosing to allow that energy to persist rather than cloaking or shielding it so that it dissipates. Is allowing chaos energy to exist (or persist) similar in nature to evoking it in the first place? I would say better to Cloak...

What's so cool about the Biata? ;)

The Biata of Ohio, for their part, are so superior to Romani (in every way) they haven't even noticed this. I know were you eat you eye blinding gibberish monkey. :) lol. yes i saw the fine print. how could i be mad at Raif?? ;)

    Playing to Exsaustion

Personally I like when I wake up and someone says "ok so $#!7 hit the fan last night..." because it makes the world just seem that more real. I like to think things are going on whether I'm there or not-- it would seem too artificial if everything shut down at hour X and restarted at hour Y...

What's so cool about the Biata? ;)

lol I used as many smiley's as I could logically squeeze in there to make sure readers knew I wasn't screaming in rage. I'm not mad I just find it funny. Stone Elves also have to paint themselves which Biata don't. I'd argue that the eyebrows are the equivalent to elf ears as prosthetics...

What's so cool about the Biata? ;)

I always wondered by Biata, who are supposed to be "attuned" to Earth Magic are just completely banned from buying Read Magic and get no Earth Magic-oriented racial skills... (for example "Half cost to Healing Arts" or "half cost to Create Potion" even lol) while Stone Elves who are attuned to...

What's so cool about the Biata? ;)

From what I've always heard the Powers That Be don't WANT the Race Packets to be public. They want them to be hard copies handed to players by the local campaign staff. In Ohio we don't wait for people to ask-- if you create a local non-human Race we come to YOU with the National and local...

What's so cool about the Biata? ;)

Ohio doesn't really have a season- we usually don't have an event in December due to the holidays and randomly we miss events in February but other than that we run all year between two different camps-- the addresses are on the Alliance Ohio website.

    Spell Packets

If you go to a feed or outdoor supply store- sometimes even Walmart in their garden section- you can buy "Millet" which is the small round seeds by themselves. Its amazingly inexpensive. Food stores also carry it in the bulk section as you can cook with millet-- but its more expensive for...
