    Loot sack!

I appreciate what they do and the service that they give, and it seems a shame to penalize them for doing it. I think you have a good argument though, in that they are not expending resources (or risking death) during those fights, and maybe that takes care of it. I think it's still a net...

    Loot sack!

OOG*: Ok, seriously, though, someone (Locke?) pointed out to me today an issue with loot sack and loot-split in general that I'd love to see fixed. Saturday night's fight was AWEsome with a capital AWE, and it seems brutally unfair that the PCs that helped out as orcs and undead did so not only...

    Loot sack!

I think my biggest concern about this system is the awful plaid pattern on the sack itself. I worry when I put loot in that if I accidentally touch the bag, all my clothes will somehow take that same pattern, which I assume is Chaos-based. Are there any plans to work on that part of the system...

    Claws

The character isn't mine, but its been played for a while now. Why the worry?

    Claws

Has anyone tried to do anything fancy with claws? Doing some painting/coloration around the handle to make it fit with the wilderkyn that is using it seems like an obvious step, but has anyone done anything different? I'm trying to build some for a snow leopard-kin, and would love any ideas...

How much red on a red weapon?

I have been asked to make some claws for a Snow Leopard-kin and she would like the weapons to have white, leopard-skin coloring but I obviously have to make them red, too. How much of the length of a claw needs to be red for it to count as a claw?

    Cabins, pre-reg, and season passes

Thanks, Trace. We'll try not to be "those guys" as Mike put it.

    Cabins, pre-reg, and season passes

Jesse, thanks for the short-term fix. Obviously, there are still some feelings of unfairness, but your solution certainly fixes all the technical, IG aspects of it. I feel like I CAN speak for the Scions when I say we're pretty unhappy, but as a group, we can hold onto that until we can...

    Cabins, pre-reg, and season passes

Did I seem worked up? I tried to just say how I was feeling, and not even place any blame. I really apologize if any one felt like I was being inflammatory or defensive.

    Cabins, pre-reg, and season passes

Trace, not blaming any player. It would actually be BETTER if it came from you guys, since unfairness IG seems, well... realistic. Its the OOG unfairness that feels, well... unfair.

    Cabins, pre-reg, and season passes

It now definitely feels like the nobility is getting benefits OOG too. We fill and pay for our cabin just like they do, but now we are moving out. Feels like, institutionally, the "2nd class citizen" label has been very officially handed out. I know there has been a lot of anger about the...

    Cabins, pre-reg, and season passes

Jesse, I know this is an OOG decision, but can you let us know what this looks like IG? The Scions will want to know who to put on their "gift of black balls" list. Thanks!

The Grass is Always Greener: Nobles vs. Commoners

I'm ok with disagreeing. It seems a little weird to say that everything you do, you have to like all parts of it. I don't like the fact that in Candyland, you can be almost at the end and get sent back to the lollipop, but I still play because I like the people I play with. Especially if I...

The Grass is Always Greener: Nobles vs. Commoners

Again, just telling people that what they feel is wrong doesn't actually make it any better. I'm not disagreeing that its irrational... but we're not talking about rational. We're talking about enjoyment. I didn't join the game because it was a Feudal Medieval game. I joined it because...

The Grass is Always Greener: Nobles vs. Commoners

I bet if we made a rule that anyone willing to get up at 4am could be a noble, that would solve this whole issue. :D

The Grass is Always Greener: Nobles vs. Commoners

Definitely doesn't seem like the whole story. People who stand close to Faren or Fellstar also seem "busy and involved" (because they were both up at 4am looking for hooks), but I don't see nearly the envy or resentment towards them that I do towards nobility. Part of that is secrecy: it feels...

The Grass is Always Greener: Nobles vs. Commoners

I can totally see that. Your belief, then, is that some people think the Alliance rules require some people to be nobility?

The Grass is Always Greener: Nobles vs. Commoners

Just so that we are on the same page: it's not the GAME system, though, its the imposed social system. Right? The system that has been created within the Denver group to include noble and commoner tiers. And although what feels like a strong push towards specific moral archetypes IS my...

The Grass is Always Greener: Nobles vs. Commoners

Trace, thanks for asking! I am really unsure what they (or even plot to a certain extent) can do to make the perception better, especially without selling out the very concept of nobility and commoner. One thing I have seen work in other games (and actually, saw work REALLY well in this last...

The Grass is Always Greener: Nobles vs. Commoners

Unfortunately, "fun" and "perception" are indelibly linked. So even if the perception is inaccurate, being wrong won't change the fact that some number of people (which, admittedly, might be 2) feel like this is a real issue. *something* is happening that is interfering with some people's...
