SF does representative locks. They still don't come up as often, but they definitely made picking locks more accessible to more people. (Accessibility wasn't the reason we went that way, but if the shoe fits...)

The Crafting Committee is definitely looking at options to improve crafting versatility and appeal. Whatever we do come up with, it's likely to be an update to 2.0. While that might seem a little disappointing to hear that an update won't likely be coming with release, we'll be able to survey...

HQ is a bit far from San Francisco! You might get a better response if you asked down in the Headquarters section. At the very least, the in game section of their part of the forums might give you some feel.

That would very much depend on where you're going to be playing at. For instance, San Francisco has two different campaigns; one is a post-apocalyptic setting and one is your classic sword and sorcery style setting. You should definitely ask the chapter you plan to house your character in/play...

Honestly, I wouldn't feel inferior if it did a 10/20/30 point heal on a successful killing blow. And doing it that way would fix the entire issue of having to have OOG knowledge about your target. "Killing blow one, two, three, Lupoid Slayer" just needs a response of "taken, no" or "taken, yes"...
