It’s the 2022-2023 off-season! There are now months of time before our next on-stage event!
Do you know what your character is doing? …Do you need some ideas?

Here are The Isle’s Winter In-Between Game Action points of interest:

1.
You will be seeing NPCs post (on the IG forums) offering opportunities. These can be engaged with and included as your IBGA goal. All options will be posted well before the due date, though on some delay for plot-specific reasons. Look for posts from Galerus, Gedin (and Chelsea), and Bennington!

2. The Leylight ((glowsticks)) and Cosmic Vision ((goat eyes)) last for the three more days following the event. Please feel free to include some immediate action if your character wants to explore these things before they expire.

Other IG news:

3. Ever since the incident with Galerus and Bellverata, sightings of a landmass in the sky have been claimed. Those that have seen it have noted that it’s only there for a few moments, before it morphs into a cloud and fades away. It has no shadow. These were mostly disregarded rumors until Bennington himself saw it. An old legend of the elves has been linked claiming that the races of elves once lived on an island in the sky, but many left, perhaps even fled, when the Emanation started. A reward has been offered for any information that will help Bennington sleep at night, as his curiosity has been thoroughly piqued.

4. The community’s semi-friendly but notably dangerous local giant, Jager, has gone missing. The home of Orcs who have been managing his well being and assisting with his cohabitation skills do not know where he went. MukMuk of TukTuk, The personal supervisor last assigned to him, says Jager’s last known whereabouts were with him near town.

He is quoted:
“One moment he was dere, an den da next tang he not.. How does ya lose a twelve foot giant!? He was ah, actin kinna strange, talkin to em self. Talkin bout Jata… an findin his firs mama. He’s been real upset since the whole ting wif his mama’s grave, ya know. Especially after he talked to dat rude Riddick fella. Poor Jager juss not know what to do wiff himself. He say he gonna haf to find utter giants or sometin to help, but uh, Jager never jus disappear before, and I never seen no utter giants…”

Authorities that keep track of Jager’s whereabouts are concerned. Typically damage caused by Jager since being taken in by the Orc’s has been minimal, but without being supervised it is unknown what danger he may pose to the community. Any leads or efforts in locating the giant are appreciated, and should be coordinated with the local authorities.

5. Remember, you can certainly write your own IBGA goal, based on any of your own ideas!

A couple relevant reminders:

Length
: Providing a narrative with detailed insight into the emotions and motivation of your character is encouraged! We love creative scheming and development! However, if these layers of nuance cause your submission to be more than one page, please be sure to preface it with a bulleted list of action items and priorities (that may be added under “Specific Task/Strategy”).

Canon Roleplay: Always feel free to reach out to Plot Team members, or even the players cast as specific NPCs, if you have questions or wish to roleplay virtually for extra details! However- These RP interactions must be summarized or attached to official IBGA submission emails, or they are not guaranteed to be understood as canon in-game.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
Happy writing! ❤
