When we last witnessed your blades crossing it was in triumph over a chaos twisted vampire. You aided in restoring balance by dispatching his form. There are those among you that do not understand our presence. There are those among you that do not understand the trials you must go through, or those you have already faced. Know that it is with great purpose, and the time for understanding has come.
 
You are strong. You are sharp. You are fierce. You are determined.
 
You have infused the needle with energy and purpose. It will not function alone. Just as you cannot function with unimaginable resolve when you stand alone, so too can the needle not function without its counterpart. You have shown over and over that you seek to restore balance and order. Balance and order are what will serve you best. The needle is set to a purpose, and the Compass base awaits it.
 
Seek the Mists. The Compass base awaits you at the Guardian's Seat, nestled deep within the Mists. If you found the caves and chasms filled with Mist to be a trial: steel your resolve. You will be tested upon the fires of your own hearts at the Guardian's Seat. You are a force walking upon legs of change. The truth in your devotion and diversity will yet be tested. Within the Eternal Fortress of Tribulation lies the vault which holds the Compass base.
 
Our greatest enemy gnashes teeth and claw upon your soil. With Compass base and needle fused, balanced, and set to purpose, shall you seek the greatest weapons of your people.
 
In three weeks time, the needle shall be fully empowered to bring those of you with the will and determination to the Eternal Fortress, within the Guardian’s Seat.

The compass was granted to the Sheltered Races two ages ago. After being given a Chance, the needle was tasked to a custodian to safeguard, while the base returned to it's Vault within the Guardian's Seat. It is a new age, and another Chance is being offered.
