Adventurers Guild Summation of Events - August

We did an excellent job last market and many things were done. Thanks to our new adventuring board I have a close proximation of all the events that happened. It is my hope that the Adventuring guild can continue to use this board so we have some documentation of events that is accessible to anyone. Please feel free to add details to the list below if something didn’t get well documented.
  • The Oracle
    • We found out that the Thonian army had a VIP called “The Oracle” who seemed to be guiding them to places where great magic items were held. We were able to capture “The Oracle“ and found out they were doing everything for hire. Through some generous donations and a few vision scrolls we found out that the Thonian army got to 6 of 10 of the items but we were able to find the location and information for the last 4. We beat the Thonian army to all four of the objects and were able to retrieve 3.
    • The first item retrieved by a small group was in a Crypt outside Pitcheston where they found a necklace of pure platinum with jewels that is potentially cursed. They kicked down the crypt door and found a noble imprisoned holding the necklace and convinced him to come back to town. We were then attacked by elementals that tried to steal the necklace back.
    • The second item was retrieved by about half the town in attendance. They went to the Tallest mountain between the Erabela and the Oathsworn lands to the home of an ancient sorcerer. There were told to be constructs there that were all unique but not much was written in summary. They were successful in retrieving a bracelet/necklace that is obfuscated.
    • The third item was a the bottom of the largest lake in Erabella. It was the tomb of a great human hero named Tikita. A group of about half the town in attendance found the door to the crypt that was guarded by water elementals. The tomb was large and had a room for each element guarded by elementals and puzzles. We found a skull and gems of different colors that you can place in the eye sockets which seems to change the magic.
    • The last item was not retrieved but was in the middle of the Scar. It was supposed to hold a creature with the ability to jump into bodies and we were not to let it out no matter what. From what I was told the creature was let out immediately, because it asked Zihr nicely, which rendered the object unusable for both the Thonians and us.

  • Rescuing a Count of the Central Dutchy
    • We were told that a Count of the Central Dutchy had been captured by Hildegaard’s forces. We deployed quickly and rescued him. Kight Captain Cass was knighted on the field of this battle. Under her leadership we killed Hildegaard and ensured the weakening of his spirit. It was a long tough battle followed by a long tough retreat, but we were successful in what we wanted accomplished.

  • Dragon Orbs and the Vault
    • Beryl came to town with the knowledge on how to gain control of the Vault. He lead a medium sized group of adventurers to two locations where he reprogrammed the vault. The Curator then led the whole town to a place inside the vault with a large clockwork Dragon. It was holding onto a dragon orb which we were successful in retrieving. It became clear that we were not going to be able to fully slay the dragon with the available tools we had so we left the dragon in the vault.

  • Bruisy led a mission to smash some crates with artillery which resulted in him becoming a Captain in the Military Guild
  • Mint led a mission to slay a giant crab fey with Nat, Travis, Kiora, and Elros. It couldn’t be hurt until you destroyed it carapace and it was able to regenerate both its carapace and its wounds. This mission resulted in her becoming a Slayer in the Slayers Guild.
  • Zihr, Elros, Auryn, Roff, Cass, and Bruisy investigated the slander against Viscount Julian. They went to the Sticky Mermaid late at night. Everyone distracted while Auryn befriended the bouncer. They went to the private room that the Jade Dragons were occupying. The jade Dragons were intoxicated and eventually noted they burned their draft papers. Zihr informed them they were under arrest and Conrad jumped out a window and Bruisy jumed after him with the People’s Elbow. Franswa took off as well, but Roff and his many legs captured him. They were both taken to the stockades.
  • A group of adventurers cleared out the nearby mines for the Merchant Guild.
  • Al, Cass, Gerty, Mint, Edwina, Elros, Zihr, and Bruisy went to the swamp to collect taproot for the Merchant guild. We collected all the taproot but the tree started to sink into the ground so we might have destroyed the tree in the process of collecting.
  • Zihr and Friends went to negotiate with the High-Orcs. Peace was negotiated and the terms are dead bodies are to be brought to the tribe so they can keep tradition alive without killing people. I was told they participated in some competitive games.
  • Elros led a group of adventurers to retrieve spider silk lute strings for Viscount Farrell Dees. Spiders suck but I believe a few strings were collected.
  • A band of adventurers slayed 4 packs of wolves that had gotten the taste for flesh from the battlefields. They also found a were-jackal that was with the last of the pack.
  • A party of adventurers slayed some furry creatures that had become a menace in a cave system. Not given a name for these creatures they were deemed the fuzzy scratchers and were guarding a fuzzy monarch.
  • The Wolf Pack, Mint, and Bluwolf slayed a griffon. Nat’s shield was taken up to its nest in the fight and Travis climbed the tree. Travis then single handedly killed a smaller griffon after it charged him in the nest.
  • A crew of adventurers went to slay large snails that were causing havoc in the fishing town of Boggle. They destroyed the spawning pool so no more snails could hurt the town.
There was only one mission documented that didn’t get completed which was to scout bandits for Viscount Stewart Drain.

Zihr and Friends went to negotiate with the High-Orcs. Peace was negotiated and the terms are dead bodies are to be brought to the tribe so they can keep tradition alive without killing people. I was told they participated in some competitive games.

This was two seperate meetings with the High Orcs. Squire Edwina led the negotiations with the Skullcrusher Tribe, after they tried to kill us. We are to bring them skulls to crush.

The competitive war games were with the Blood Spear Tribe. High Jump, Long Jump, Rock Throw (CHUCK! CHUCK! CHUCK!), Heavy Flexible Iron Weight Lifting, and Spear Throwing.
