Hi all!
As many of you are aware, there has been some discussion around the makeup requirements for Dark Elves in various chapters. We are a diverse chapter, pulling from all kinds of ethnicities and orientations, that strives to make LARP accessible for everyone. To this end, we as a chapter will be changing the makeup requirement for Dark Elves as they currently are stated in the Alliance LARP rule book effective immediately. Players will be allowed to continue playing the makeup requirement as stated in the rule book and we will be expanding the color options for this race.
Dark Elves will now be permitted to have skin that is any color in the dark blue-dark purple or dark grey-black range. They will still be required to have white hair and elf ear tips. This will not change their race or racial rules - this is simply a change to the makeup requirement. All Dark Elf makeups must be noticeably darker than a Stone Elf’s makeup. If you have any questions about meeting makeup requirements, please reach out to either your General Manager or the Head of Plot for your main campaign.
Please remember that we are a diverse chapter of people from all different backgrounds. If you chose to continue to utilize the current national requirement, you must do so responsibly and respectfully. Anyone treating the situation disrespectfully will be subject to discipline up to, and including, expulsion from the chapter.
As the national requirement has not changed, we encourage an open and respectful discourse on the issue. Please feel free to utilize this thread for any discussion on the topic remembering to be respectful of your fellow members of the community.
