Hello Everyone! It was great to see all of you for our second game, and I had a ton of fun running this event for all of you. Below are some of my favorite moments from the weekend, in order of when my brain recalled them to the forefront of my memory as I wrote this:

-------------------------------

- During the Friday night undead fight, when the town got split between fighting inside and fighting at the front door, after a few minutes someone poked their head out and said, "There are undead inside attacking the villagers!" to which Zihr responded with, "There are undead out here too!" The person (who I couldn't quite see) brazenly said, "Well, maybe you could back up a little bit, in case we need you." Standing with their backs to the door, Zihr responded with, "Where would I back up to?"

- The check-up on the archeologists had a lot of great moments that left me muffling some chuckles. The insisting from the PCs that they were here to give new orders to the archeologists to come back to the capital, and the arguing over who had authority to tell them to leave. The eventual realization that the men were all enslaved, and the look of surprise when the fighting broke out, one of the archeologists gets webbed, and proceeds to rip free of the binding. "A human ripping free of binding?!?" The shock and horror when, as they began to escort the incapacitated archeologists back to town, when one of them suddenly drops dead. "Don't move them, we're not trying to kill them."

- "When will Evoder get here?" "How shortly is shortly?"

- The Oathsworn meeting went very smoothly, and it was obvious that everyone who had been told what customs to expect from the Oathsworn had taken it to heart. Fiona and Edwina were constantly making efforts to attend to the Minister and Ambassador's needs, and Zen brought up a few questions for the Oathsworn, but when they changed the subject, she didn't press further. The respect shown to the foreign dignitaries was impressive and appreciated.

- During the pirate raid, I overheard someone yell out, "THIS IS A RAID!" at about the point that they were half-way to completing their goal. Yup, glad we confirmed that these people raiding our island are indeed raiding us.

- I am constantly surprised (as obviously I shouldn't be) at how quickly people pick up the goal during the vault missions. Kudos to Sid (tpo Beryl) for figuring out that the PCs needed to step in and act in the scene, before we even had the NPC prompt for it.

- "Hold!" I unplug the lights for the circle of power. Immediately someone says, "Oh, I don't like that."

- All of the PCs that got possessed did a really good job of fighting under their possession. Might be some pent up aggression, but seeing Mint beat down Edwina was really good.

- I have to give kudos to the late Saturday orb mod group. They got confronted with a very challenging orb, and they took it in stride and kept pushing towards the finish line. The six or seven Paralysis/Prisons that got dumped into the orb holders was a lot, but was ultimately what made it successful.

- A certain someone standing mouth agape for quite a period of time. I'm glad they liked the surprise, and I look forward to surprising them again in the future.

- Late night Dragon calls. "We're just filled with bad ideas tonight." But congratulations to Zen on your first successful ritual casting!

-------------------------------

I look forward to seeing all of you again in a month's time!

When I was hit by weakness as a sandworm and hitting with 0 normal and I was being hit by 1 normal. Whenever I got to find with bindo or sword and board. Finally all of the mustaches.

We had a great time, we did duck out early due to sheer exhaustion after arriving at the event immediately after our 3 day drive out from the coast.

1.) Getting to see so many old friendly faces!
2.) The Roff Payoff 'I haven't cast a single command since we talked almost 3 years ago' yeah, that's worth a plat.
3.) Zihr's bad behavior, Had to break command that poor trash hippo so it can die with honor.
4.) Everything Payton - Man you rocked the NPC side, thanks for having such a fun and great attitude!
5.) Edwina the mighty taking down the sandworm of nearly deadly doom
6.) Crescent and Bluewolf interactions.
7.) Scrolls Scrolls and more Scrolls, that put a dent in the old pocketbook I think we spent about 40 gold between 6 sellers.
8.) Kallith new skills - Swinging 500 body once per day (plus one from recharge prowess) is way more fun than I expected!

I was only able to show up for part of Saturday but it was so worth it!

-Going to make sure Arthur was safe by following Lor'tek into the Fae realm was wild, terrifying, and was paid off with some valuable information.
-Arthur taking me on as apprentice in the Slayers Guild!
-Going to fight in the sewers and talking to Edwina about the beauty of the insult trash hippo.
-Getting a spell parry on my hammer and then immediately using it the next fight
-The late night fight with the scenes playing out was really cool. The possession fight afterwards was terrifying but fun.
-Zihr putting the gem magic on my hammer. I could not stop giggling the entire minute we were in the circle.
-Selling out of cookies. I guess next time I need to bring some more :)

Favorites:

Mint: "I am not leaving here without Arthur"
Lor'tek: "Very well you may come with me to get him"
Locke: "Mint, no"
Mint: "I am going"
Locke: "NO!"
Then a bit more conversation and Lor'tek promising not to hurt Mint. Mint becomes the first adventurer to enter the Fey Wild.

Another: roughly 11:30pm
Roff: I still have most of my skills
Elros: Me too.
The Winds: Do you want to go fight something
Both: Yeh!!
The Winds: So there is a potential vampire around, doing something evil, or you could just go beat up some undead in Count Ferrant's territory.
Both: Vampire!
The Winds: Just the two of you?
Both: Maybe lets find a few others.

Then they go out with friends, fight some undead, a vampire shows up and goes down pretty quick after the light rain turns to a heavy downpour, guess Vampires really don't like running water.

I had an absolutely great time this event. I was worried about things at first with so few PCs and lots of NPCs but things worked great! Here are some of my favorites!

-Pregnant lady! I dont know how to handle this! Someone else handle this!

-Going on the National Event hook mod, I knew the mechanic of it so I sat back to watch a lot of it and tried not to spoil the puzzle for other players. It was super awesome to see Jess get excited about solving the puzzle.

-True empowering a Vengance and giving each person that helped in the ritual a small burst pool.

-"This is a RAID!" call back to all those years ago in Chicago. I might be playing a different character but its still a fun memory.

-Sitting down to play Euchre with GRONK, Zen, and Edwina. A fun and close game up until the end.

-All things Bluewolf. It's great to have a celestial buddy to talk shop with.

-GRONK and Fiona getting feeble minded was hilarious to watch. "My mouth tastes bad"

-Seeing Bluwold Bane the cannon fire back at the pirate to kill him and screaming the tag line "Arch-Wizard, B****!"

-Watching Kat stand toe-to-toe with the Wraith Lord and unload Destroy Undead and Healing spells into him until he was a pile of goo.

-Getting mind controlled by the Dragon Orb to defend it and doing my OOG very best to beat everyone else. I got pretty close too!

-Finding a spell store scroll! I dont care that I didn't walk away with it, what matters is that I copied it!

hard to say there were quite a few but the one that stood out was when the adventurers split up to take out the euphoria factory and fight the pirates that were on that island and rescue some hostages that were found there as well.
