To the Kris and all Romani of the Island,
For many years now the storytellers of our people have spoken of the Assassin, the one who haunts the marches of this isle and stalked our cousin. Due to the brave inhabitants at Stillrun this man, Akrelta, was defeated. On May 2nd a trial was held with the authority of the Kris to determine the facts of the matter and bring him to justice. A council of our brethren; which included myself, three delegates of the Kriss, and with Queen Shiboleth as a guest of honor; came to these conclusions:
1. That Akrelta, acting as The Assassin, is guilty of the murders of hundreds of our Romani kin.
2. That these events transpired because of a curse placed on him.
3. That as this curse has been removed the Romani population needs no longer fear him.
4. That, as he is still guilty of these murders, he has been sentenced to act as a guardian to the Romani people for 200 years, allowing for the population of our people to return to their previous number.
Akrelta, Champion of the Forest has willingly accepted each of these points, including the sentence. By the authority of the Kris the matter regarding him is closed, and any feuds or attempts for vengeance on Akrelta for these purposes are declared fulfilled, and pursuing them further is to be considered a violation of Romani Law.
