Facebook marketing/PR opportunity: "Alliance LARP" sport

Hi all,

You may have noticed a recent mega change available to Facebook profiles. There is now a new "sports" section on the general info section. You can add the sport, people you do it with, and a description. I added "Alliance LARP" as a sport, and to my surprise, it automatically created a page for it under the sports section.

So why am I posting about what I did on Facebook to the national boards?

MARKETING! Similar to "fan" pages, someone with official rights to the Alliance LARP name/image (*cough*Fearless Leader*cough*) can take that newly created page in the "Sport" section and make it all nice and pretty! Right now it is blank, contact Facebook for rights to the page by clicking the "Is this your Page?" link on the left hand side.

Just thought I'd post here to see what you all think.

Peter that's great. I will pass it along to the Publicity Committee. We should be able to handle this.
 
I've always thought of Larping as a Sport, Now maybe I won't have as much difficulty convincing others of that! :D

Alliance LARP has a Facebook page. If you enter "Alliance LARP" under the sports section on your Facebook profile it will link directly to the appropriate fan page.

You can see an example of how this played out on my Facebook profile (Stephen Duetzmann... feel free to friend me).
