Feast/Mod Day Questions

What time, approximately, would we like to start? What time are we going to stop?

I'm assuming the cost is the same as a regular Faire Day which, according to the Deadlands website, is $20. Is this correct?

There will be no battle on the field, correct? So those who don't want to participate in mods need not bring their stuff?

Will there be the large rented tent with chairs and tables like we had at the Northride tourny back in 2005? If not, is there a local who knows how much we would have to pitch in to do such a thing.

That years feast is one of my fondest LARP memories and it sould be cool to dl again.

The cost is 20$, pre-reg or at the door. Additionally, please bring a dish for the pot luck or an extra 5 dollars to cover the cost of food/drinks/pie.

The event will begin at noon and run until it winds down; we encourage people to show up earlier than that to get into costume and to do any logistics they need to (yes, logistics). As this is a Fair Day event, everyone needs to logist. You can pre-logist if you pre-reg, and will be entered into the raffle if you do. However, there will be no combat on the field. If you do not wish to go on a mod, you need not bring any adventuring gear. If you do wish to go on a mod, bring your stuff.

We looked into the canopy rental, and the conclusion was that given the somewhat suspect forecast for the day the cost was too high this time. However, if this works well and there is more interest (and fewer event conflicts) for future years, we will certainly revisit this.

A word about the mods: they are primarily by request. If you and approximately five of your friends have some adventuring goal you'd like to go after then please send a description of that goal, your group's composition and your intended plan of attack (or pacifist action) to the character plot address. The deadlandsline for this will be this coming 11:59 pm on Tuesday the 31st. These can be anything from "we go into the deadlands and meatgrind for 2 hours" to "we seek out NPC such-and-such and talk to him/her/it/them/????? for 2 hours". Deadlands plot reserves the right to come up with additional stuff if we choose to, but guarantee it will not result in any on the field combat or other incidental fun.

Any additional questions, feel free to leave 'em below. If you do bring a dish (recommended), please say what here.

IMPORTANT: This event, unlike previous feasts, does not allow children. There has been some confusion on this point, but there is a very clear answer: no children too young to page are permitted on site.
