For Neverpeak -
  • Open Flame/Campfires - No open flames at any time. Period. No candles, torches, campfires, etc. All lighting must be battery operated. The High Chateau Fire came very close to coming over the northern ridge and coming our way. Several neighbors lost their homes. We are still under a Stage 2 Fire Ban here (looking to be the entire summer-if not longer) and there is zero tolerance. Thank you for understanding."
If fire pits are ever allowed in the future, we will use the follow below policy, but at this point, we will announce if fires are allowed again.

The area around the fire pit is a "combat free zone"—at least when there is fire—but we are still an "always-on" game, so you still have to stay on guard!

The way that combat works around the fire is that you need at least 3 people to start combat (PC or NPC, if you want to PVP someone down by the fire when it is just the two of you go grab an NPC marshal who can hang back until you begin). The first swing or packet-toss is allowed (so you can still get snuck up on or surprised) but then after it lands (or doesn't) call a hold and move 25' over with one (preferably NPC) volunteer to stay and mind the fire.
