Did either of you actually see it? Having seen the preview for the second movie, I'm kinda intrigued to see the first.

Nope. Haven't seen it.

But, I have heard it is actually a decent movie. If the opportunity ever came up I would watch it, but I doubt that will ever happen as Jenny is adamant against seeing it.

The movie was not as bad as I was expecting. I went in with very low expectations. It is like the book, if you can stand the teen-angst, high school drama stuff I think the movie is ok.

I was impressed that it was produced fairly independently (I have heard.. I haven't looked that up myself) and it had a real NW feel to it. People wore flannel and drank Rainier beer!

Effects were pretty good too. For the most part I liked the concepts of the author's Vampires, except that they are pretty much invulnerable.. and sparkle.
