Jinn awoke early in the morning, after a poor and restless sleep. He hadn't slept well since the news that they were heading to The Lux and not to the new fort. The unknown now filled him with unease, and the lux was a large unknown to him. But he was on a quest for knowledge, so no sense in wasting anymore time.
He packed up his tent, and loaded everything he had into his bag. Standing up he closed his eyes and took in the smells and sounds of the woods. It gave him a slight sense of peace, but so many questions filled his mind. Would there be some forest there where he could sleep at night, or would he be stuck inside a stone building. What evils waited for them there, what work needed to be done.
Shrugging off the negative thoughts he pulled out the small vial of sand and whispered some words into it. At least he would see his friend soon, his familiar face would be a welcome sight. Putting the vial away he headed to the tavern to see if any other members of their rag tag caravan would be around. He was planning to stay in the city for 3 more days, and then would head to the lux, to see if any of his questions could be answered.
