Invitation to the Masquerade Ball in October 414

Please expect additional information regarding October's Gather, but in the mean time I wanted to ensure that you all have ample opportunity to procure a costume, mask, or suitable attire for the upcoming celebration. Please note that this event will be after dinner on the Saturday. While candle for the walk of the dead will be provided you are also welcome to bring your own. A portrait painter has been secured, and a full list of the events will be posted closer to the event.

Additionally, if you did not have the opportunity to buy a pumpkin from the local vendors, please make sure to do so in your downtime between gathers - this is of significant importance. Wards are not as powerful during this time of the year. The Jack-O-Lanterns help keep out restless spirits when the veil from this world to the next is thinnest.

Ensure your cabin has a proper pumpkin please!

Some additional information for those who are curious -

The Masquerade ball will occur sometime after dinner, so please feel free to dress for dinner if you are so inclined. Deepjug has been kind enough to rent the whole of his tavern for the event!

The events for the evening will include (In no particular order)-

• A storytelling contest
• Pinatas
• The fabulous donut eating contest
• A portrait painter
• A Brewers contest (if you are a brewer, please be sure to bring samples)
• Music from an assortment of bards

And finally the ever popular walk if the dead at the end of the evening, lead by the Great Spirit (please do not assault the great spirit).
