Have been browsing the links provided in this board (thank you, that's super convenient!) and also Amazon, as one of my characters is looking into a sleeved hauberk tunic and jack-of-plate. Came across this gem and accompanying customer question. Died laughing, please res me at the nearest earth circle.

Butted aluminum is great for cheap startup suits, but know it either needs a lot of maintenance or a willingness to have it break in a year or 2. Unfortunately riveted tends to be quite a bit more expensive, but I have really enjoyed lamellar, you can get the plates relatively cheap and it's not difficult to lace it together.
Remind me this weekend and I'll bring the 3 pieces my suit turned in to after getting caught in a particularly fast fight
