May Event Favorites: Alliance HQ

Hey everyone!

Hope everyone had a good time. Currently our spectacular-awesome customer service representative is off doing wonderful things for our country, so he gave me permission to start the famous "Favorites Post."

Lets us know what you think.

-Jeremy Rogers

P.S. - My post will come soon, I had a blast! NPC's represent!

Thank you PCs and NPCs alike, staff and all who made this event enjoyable!

-LANDSHARK COMMUNICATOR STEPHANO
-I bought a few mods. Apologies to the NPCs that I made laugh repeatedly. I am a birb of few tricks.
-Getting my first life item and then giving away my first life item
-Losing my crystal. I knew one day that would happen but was kind of hoping it'd be due to resurrection, not a hole in a pouch. All of Stephano's shenanigans that came because he could no longer steel his mind.
-Amaranthus. Supporting him against the charnal assassin and feeling terribly inadequate, "I will kneel in vigil until my Herz returns." and 'renegotiating' my contract. His little speech at that last part, means worlds to Stephano. His rave review of Stephano helped what turned a terrible weekend (For Stephano, not Dave!) into an acceptable venture and learning experience.
-Immediately starting my own cabal and filling it with amazing friends.
-Floof frand! All things Lila, the luckiest murder red panda ever. And the substantial support she provided.
-"I only wanted the one, I didn't want the second"
-The Doctor is in.
-Meat and cheese time.
-Kicking the mages' guild meeting out of my cabin due to Raven "The Toymaker"'s charnal. Not that they are an entirely celestial group in a biata cabin is reason to do it, no, but because the most dangerous assassin came to ruin my picnic.
-Nope'ing away from an engulf. No thanks.
-"It's training day." and "I didn't say we were done."
-A lap around the cabins. "At least we're on the same page."

Stay tuned for more bad idea birb decisions!

Wow. Been awhile since I did one of these...

First off, a big shout out to the NPCs/staff this weekend. Despite the weather and low numbers, you guys rocked out all weekend. Way to keep upbeat in the face of it all. Keep up the good work. :)

A special thanks to Tom H./Mich M./Dave E./Scott K. for always being willing and helpful when it comes to Imladar plot.
I come because of you guys, seriously.

Big hugs to everyone that RPed with Lauren this weekend. She really enjoys interacting with you all!
(hopefully she will make an account and post her own favorites xD)

Now on to favorites, in no particular order:
- Ultra late night RP with Ian and Raven in the Mages Guild "An Imladari, an Amani, and a Kerigani walk into the Mages Guild..."
- Getting to walk in and announce Valdorian to the tavern, always a pleasure to escort the Princes around
- RP time with BOTH Princes of Imladar, been waiting to that excitement to happen. AND IT WAS AWESOME!
- Gilthalion passing the super cool spear to Alto, and sticking it to him. I think that was a lesson in how annoying spirit linked items are lol
- Waiting to see if the conference would turn into violence when the false Emperor showed up, only slightly sad Imladar didn't kill him
- More riddle mods, going on them to tell people about how they work and to punch things when we give wrong answers
- ERIKA'S SUPER AWESOME FLOOF <3
- Dropping my usual fancy table in the tavern in prep for the conference, and the looks of the newer players who hadn't seen it before ^_^
- Cutting IG deals with Monty to get Alto MOAR wine
- Squire training at the bar with Grim, Garathon, and Khorywen. And the unveiling of "THE DEVICE" to Monty.
- Watching Baron Ag get outmaneuvered with Alto's clever wordplay into a corner over and over again
- Getting to lead a Mod group. Figuring out it wasn't who we thought, and murdering some bad dudes
- Taking a break in the middle of negotiations, finding some stress relief in the form of landsharks
- Trying not to repeat my entire titles quote when were going around the table >.>
- EATING ALL THE BACON 5EVER (thanks Kris B.)
- Watching Alto starting to crack his stoic side when Sir Landcharmer had to take a trip to the Earth Circle...
- Giving the Humans a hard time all weekend, damn Mooks mucking up! ;P
- Watching Faelwen give Valdorian (along with others) a hard time over the "Porcelain Golem Incident"
- The chaos that ensured when everyone thought Alto had won his donated item out of bajillion tickets xD "IMLADAR RIGGED THIS CRAP!"
- Spending more time down in the forest chasing NPCs in the dark, those are the best (minus the walk home...)
- Dodging big Necro and Deaths spells like a pro, along with Chaos arrows
- Getting to visit for a moment with Tempest via astral projection
- Perfect RP reaction to a Life Elemental popping up behind me

(gasps for breath)
Phew. I think I got most of it out. ^.^

Thanks everyone for everything!! Me and Lauren will you guys again at the end of July!

Well, I felt a little too ill to enjoy things, but I would like to say that the diplomacy meeting was really cool. Kudos to all the NPCs for their roleplay. It felt very organic, not "well, THAT was predictable." I look forward to all the new relationships of old nations.

I also enjoyed beating up Galanthians again ('cause I'm old), as well as mean plants.

It's a shame I can't make every event, 'cause there's a lot to get done. Thanks, all!

I love this game.

Staff: A great job was done this event. Ian is not on for the political but was not bored either. There was a fine balance kept between moving the political rp along and keeping the murder hobos happy.

NPCs: As usual, you guys rocked it. Long hours and tough fights. Rockstars of Alliance.

PCs: Lots of great interactions. Meeting adventurers that Ian had not before and fighting along side others he already knew.

Ian owes someone for that life spell and knows it but will have to find out who it was. That's what he gets for not getting a spell shield back up right away.

....And a Gypsy cries.

The Norden squire (sorry I am horrible with names ) doing his best to be diplomatic but Golanthians (spelling) and restless adventurers making it hard. Grim showing up and all hell breaking loose promptly.

It seemed every time it was quiet and Ian started feeling uncomfortable, he would look around and Suzie's brooding Sar was about.

30 Silence. Wha? 30 Silence 30 Silence. I was so suprised that I couldn't even call my protectives and defences. Boo to you sir. But a golf clap for the stealth skills.

I know there is more but the Larp-over has a good hold on me. See you all next time.

Huge shout out to the amazing team of NPC's I got to work with during the May event. NPC good squad, you will always be total Rockstars.

And a HUGE thank you to Staff for their efforts in running the show, you folks are total Rockstars as well.

THE LIST:

"Awwww the Rats got in the human meat again!"
Troll Mod was a blast. The team took on a challenge that wasn't in their favor and still prevailed over those damn trolls. Erika and Susie rogues threw a wrench in our bad guy strategy.

Getting Gassed down.....constantly...Dave E I'm looking at you.
This goes for Amaranthus The Sniper too.

Late night Goblin Delta Squad. That NPC team were a tough set of individuals, and I'm not talking about the goblin monster cards. We waited up on the wet hill side for a good while, waiting for the perfect moment to jump into action. Well worth it considering just how awesome it felt to pull off an ambush.

Charnel Assassin goes pop! I love being able to 1v1 any of the alliance members, so I got really excited when staff told me I would be going after a noble. Well then the noble put a vengeance on, and Britney and Tom sat back like "This is going to be good". First time ever catching a vengeance while NPCing, so so worth it.

Also, Mike V's mad dash to the back when the Charnel Assassin walked into the tavern. I rounded the corner to watch him practically teleport into the hall way.

It's nice to see PC's interacting with NPC's during meal times. There was a few good conversations I had with PC's while eating.

Hal pretty much walking onto me

Go poke the green

Thanks again everyone! I had a super blasty!

Finally made it back after the winter and the event was amazing!

Now favorites as I remember them:
-Firstly Agg. Between making sure I was okay both in and out of game and just making Ruis think about her entire existence I'm looking forward to future months
-FLOOF MY DARLING MURDER FLOOF. Lila and Ruis were so much on the same page it was scary
-Almost ruining a stealth mod because a frog nearly jumped on my face in the dark.
-Undead murder.
-Getting jumped by undead with Alone. Oops.
-Still team bad plan.

Can't wait til July when I can make it back to continue to destroy hopes and dreams
