National Event COVID Update!

Chicago Staff
Hey everyone,

After a lot of deliberation and analysis, the date of the 2020 National Event is being moved to 2021. A Story for the Ages will remain a three-day event and is currently targeted for Memorial Day Weekend: May 28th-31st, 2021. Look for updates about pre-registration in the coming months.

COVID-19 has touched us all in many ways, and it has sadly made LARP as a community difficult in 2020. Together let us all press forward - we want this to be an amazing experience for as many people as possible, and thus are pushing it back until 2021.

It’s definitely a bummer to push back the event, but for a silver lining, doing so will allow the Event Staff additional time to refine plot/props/more and will make for an even bigger, better event when it does finally happen. We’re looking into having a second major prop monster commissioned by Gargoyle Forge to make it even better (the first one is already out of this world!), plus the plot team and other volunteers have absolutely knocked it out of the park on every project they have worked on so far. We are extremely excited to see you all next year, and will continue to push to prepare the way for a great year. Let us all together make 2021 one of the best years of LARP ever as we move past this lousy 2020 year!

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this change causes anyone, and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Concerns can be directed to Rob via PM on the forum or via email to

Thank you for understanding,

Thank you Rob for the update!

With the extra time available for next year, please let us know what else we can do to help create more props to make the National Event even better!
