New Logistics Procedures!

Hey all! Happy approaching holidays/end of the world/2013!

In light of the upcoming new year, we have a few changes that we are going to be rolling out from your friendly neighborhood Logistics Department. Thanks for bearing with us as we make these transitions. We hope that this will make all of our experiences at game more enjoyable!

First and foremost, we've got a brand new fancy-shmancy pre-reg form that we are asking PCs and NPCs to use (even Guildies and Plot) in order to pre-reg for upcoming events. This form has been tested rather extensively, and it should be fairly self-explanatory but it's still new. If you run into any problems, have any questions, or find yourself with some comments please feel free to either email us at logistics@alliance-seattle.com with that feedback or post it in the appropriate topic over in the OOG forum.

Additionally, as we announced at the last event and as you will no-doubt see when you use that fancy form to pre-reg for the Feb 3-day event, we are going to be doing pre-reg a little differently for the foreseeable future. We are now asking PCs to pre-reg for ALL logistics periods at the event when they pre-reg.

Starting in February, PCs will pre-reg for Friday and Saturday night logistics (and Sunday as well for long weekends). At site during check-in, they will receive two (or three) different character sheets in different colours. At some set time on Saturday (to be announced at opening), we will switch over from one coloured character sheet to the other, and that will be the sheet used for the second day of game, and so on for Sunday.

Fear not! Logistics will still be open on Saturday evenings! If you need to change your character card, or if you forgot something in your pre-reg, that's fine, we'll still be around and happy to serve. Also, we will have your production and craftsmen waiting for you as well during this time. However, our hours will be truncated from our usual 5-7 to a single hour (most likely 5:30 to 6:30, but we are still deciding upon that).

Our goal with this change is to shorten the amount of time people spend out of game and dealing with logistics, and this has been suggested as one of the best ways to do that.

As with any big changes, we anticipate a bit of a learning curve as we all figure out how to run the most efficient game possible. We welcome feedback as we work through this period of time, so feel free to submit it via our email address (logistics@alliance-seattle.com) or by PMing Eric (Eric) or Barbara (prashka).

Thanks so much for your patience! I hope you find this as exciting as we do!
