Favorite cartoons and why? (because I'm bored at work)

I liked:
Thundar the Barbarian why? he had a cool mutant horse thingy
Thundercats why? Mumra...nuf said
Jem & the Holograms why? make up and Misfits...too cool
Loony Toons why? i love the scary castle ones when bugs bunny does the monster's hair and marvin the martian always try to destroy earth
Voltron (THE LION ONE) why? lions that all come together to form a huge hero is awesome!
Captain Caveman why? he has a CLUB and saves the day
Inspector Gadget why? penny's computer was awesome
Dungeons & Dragons why? they got sucked into an adventure through a RIDE i wanted it to happen to me
Master Blaster why? again with the sucking into an adventure...
 
I grew up on the stuff my papa did.

The old Superman and Batman and Spiderman cartoons rock!

And the Planet of the Apes cartoons! The crappy animation was part of its charm!

And I agree with the inspector gadget notion.
 
I watched all of those plus too many more to try to make a list. I just wish I would have been able to see the 2nd version of Voltron (between the Lions and Land/Sea/Air versions). I saw the toys but never the cartoon. It was three robots that formed up like THIS

I must mention that to have the Rankin-Bass Hat Trick you need to add Silver Hawks and Tiger Sharks to the Thundercats.
 
Voltron, Thundercats, G-Force, Silverhawks, Transformers, GI Joe, and of course TMNT were the cartoons that I remember most fondly from when I was little. When I got a bit older, the X-Men, Spiderman, and Batman series they played on FOX Kids saturday mornings were so awesome. Captain Planet, Inspector Gadget, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, and Rocko's Modern Life were some of my faves as well.

All time favorite and still running is the Simpsons.
 
The robot Voltron was never aired in the united states. It was part of the group of Anime that was adapted to create Voltron...just never actually brought over.

Never mind that looking at the damn thing can't help but make me think two words. Two words of infinite awesome.

It wasn't called Master Blaster. It was called Kidd Video and I LOVED that cartoon.

I also loved ExoSquad.

I really hope those shows get DVD treatment.

MIKE you're so right!!! it was kid video! master blaster was the bad guy but they made a video game called master blaster and i always got them mixed up.... as for the robot voltron made from cars and motor cycles i liked that one but ...the lions were just way too cool...

as for silverhawks my dad remembers it but i dont' IS THAT WEIRD OR WHAT???

I only saw like two episodes of that one, but I loved it and wanted to see more.

For me my favs were definately amongst the following:

-Voltron

-D & D cartoon

-X-man cartoon

-Thundarr the Barbarian (Ookla was my favoritae caracter, naturaly. I found him really resourceful he'd turn anything nearby into a weapon. Trees, telephone poles, nearby rusted out Volkswagons...whatever!)

-Thundercats

-Silverhawks

-TMNT

-Batman

And I'm drawing a blank on more, but they're out there I"m sure.

oh right!! smurfs!! ha! then came 5 baby smurfs....but with only 1 female and all those males having 5 children is a bit rough anyways......who was the father? papa smurf?

teehee you make me laugh! I used to love the tape that was a mini robot who came out of another guys chest..who was a boombox

speaking of cartoons i was reading the latest Nickolodeon Kids Magazine April issue and Lisa Simpson and Ang are DATING!!!!!! I was shocked....
 
I was reading MAD magazine, and I read that if all the mimes went on strike, NO BODY WOULD REALLY CARE ALL THAT MUCH! ::shocked:
