Repairing broken magic items

Good Day Everyone,

How do you fix a broken magic item after it has been shattered? I see that in the item once it has been Broken or Shattered it can be used again after the Mend Celestial spell has been cast. Are the only other repair options in tinkering and smithing?

Broken magic items can be fixed with either a Mend effect or via the Field Repair ability, from either Smithing or Tinkering.

What is the appropriate call?
"With eldritch force I shatter your arcane armor item?"
Or
"With eldritch force I shatter your bracelet." The bracelet being the AA magic item.

None of the rules about how to target things have changed really. I’d be just as hesitant to ok a target of “a magic item” or “your arcane armor item” under 2.1 as I would be under 2.0 or 1.3, but your local marshals may be fine with it.

Personally? If I’m trying to go after someone’s armor, I’d go with “with eldritch force I shatter your armor” and go from there, but ymmv.
