Recently, I have overheard some confusion over whether claw fighters may fight with their claws "down" in the blocking position. Some players have suggested that claws must be held in the "up" position, and used only offensely.
To clarify: You may indeed fight claws "down"! You may go claws up, claws down. You may mix 'n' match, one claw up, one claw down. Go to town with your claws! Point them whatever direction you want... Just please fight safely, always.
Taylor Kaiman, Head Local Rules Marshal for Alliance Denver, has confirmed for me that there is no rule directly requiring that claws be wielded in the "up" position. Denver Safety has no issue with this inherently. If we experience a Renaissance of safety complaints about all those wild down-claw fighters causing problems, we will review as need be in the future.
