Thank you all again for being such wonderful players, we look forward to seeing everyone again in just three weeks.

I had a great time at this opening event. I want to thank all the staff first for all their tireless work in putting these events together for us the players. The food was great, logistics was smooth for me, and the plot team was amazing.

My favorite part of the weekend was the Celestine mod that my group went on. It was a great mix of a little bit of puzzle, a little fighting, and just overall was amazing for our group. Even better was that Chad could run it alone and that way we weren't using up lots of NPCs.

The dark Valkyrie fight was cool. It really looked like both groups got to do something fun at the same time which is great.

All the RP all weekend was amazing, I loved seeing it happen all of the time.

A vast majority of the event I spent just hanging out with my group and RPing by choice because I love doing that. That means I didn't go on many mods so I don't have a lot to comment on from a plot perspective, but everything I went on I enjoyed a lot. This weekend was the perfect mix of everything for me.

My only negative criticism is how it seems that the high levels in a few of our chapters are treating non high level PCs. There are many times I see high level PCs treat low level PCs like they are "annoying" or useless or not important to the town. I am sure I do my fair share as well and I will use this to reflect on how I interact with people as well but I wanted to ask all other people to do the same. It doesn't help the game at all to be a jerk, or a bully to any other player in the game. Often if feels like the lack of PVP in the game allows for people to be jerks and feel like there are no repercussions that come along with that. However, if low level players or even players that are not power gamers feel unwelcome by other players in the game we will lose those players and it will be hard to not only grow but also sustain our current game.

Overall I had a great time and I will constantly try to get more and more people to come to this game. I can't thank you all enough for running a great game and I can't thank the PCs enough for making it fun as well. Thank you all!

Thanks to all the staff and npcs who made my event so much fun. Louis, I hope that's your name, thanks for NPCing the whole time.

The Good:
So many new faces. Welcome to the chapter. I hope you guys had a good time, and I get to see you again.
Food was awesome.
That puzzle rep was fantastic. Having a portal open/portal closed effect on a physically repped puzzle that didn't need a marshal during a town battle ..... wow. Very cool.
Really enjoyed the 'Shield Wall' fight. Not something I've seen much of, it was really cool to fight against.
For a 'PC town fight' the DV fight went really well overall. PC's generally followed a plan. I kinda liked being able to see the full potential of a circle beat being brought to bear. (Love you TC)
The Noble ceremony wasn't my jam, but I liked that all the nobles looked like nobles.
I like that we used the tables outside the tavern. Let people spread out more.

The Bad:
No more mods before breakfast.... Ian ❤ (didn't even get paid)
Maybe I missed some reasoning, but I was kinda miffed that the puzzle/obelisk was short. We had a plan for protecting ourselves but it didn't work with something that can be reached over. (resolved)
RIP: those cool wings.
I really don't like all the production tags as treasure. I get it from a game perspective, but it just makes dividing treasure, a frustrating process, even more irritating. Can we steal the production coin idea from Traverse? I have access to a laser-cutter.
I need an in-game expletive to catch on. Taking suggestions.
What does plot think about PC ritual marshals for non-plot requiring things? i.e. Investments, maybe whispering winds (cast in tavern, run oog to deliver message to plot), item creation might push it, but I think it could be reasonable if there was no empowerment going on.

The Memorable:
"SOMEBODY HEALING ARTS THIS B!"
Internal monologue watching people being KB'd: {I'm going to be stuck helplessly in limbo forever. There is literally nothing I can do...} "Voice Radius Life!" {... I must tip Collette more}
Sorry about your face Chad.
Preparing for rituals by consolidating all known information on Stonerest into one book... leaving book at home.
Naomi giving Banradi the aggressive "shush and GTFO"

Looking forward to June.

It just got left at home. We've got too many props that we can't fit them all in the trailer. If you're planning on doing something that requires a rep, it's a good idea to reach out and make sure it's included. It's really not that much taller then the stump was though.

Thanks, in that case, I will shift my frustrations to the PCs who did not adequately tell me that while we planned. ಠ_ಠ

I hurt something fierce. Running and moving like I haven't in a long time will make a guy question his love of Larp but I can't question it as I love every minute even when I get a little bored because being a adult that has hey look a squirrel mentality doesn't come close in scale for the enjoyment I get from coming.

I didn't have a one spot during the event that made it for me. I can say I am learning more and more about the land and the political side which I never have been interested in before. This is letting me enjoy the down times more because I can start thinking and planning for things I want to do and work on.
Food was great even thou I was worried for dinner Genevieve graciously made pasta and let me use left over pizza sauce to get my fill.

The rain made for bum night but was never turned down which I love.

I do like what Joe was talking about with production chips that traverse uses. As someone who likes production, I use them a lot.

I forgot about the flowers. I love that idea in general. That lower level players, going on unrelated stuff is getting small buffs or help or whatever for the terrible fight that Plot knows is coming.

You did something before with the towers, and we had infinite purifies I think? I like that a lot, when plot helps out the "keep everyone included"

-Joe

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much for coming out to the event. I don't know about all of you, but I had so many fun moments.

The good

The Valkarie fight was really great. I think those of us who are less skilled adventurers really felt so important in that fight and worked together as a great team.

Moonless night was a great gang and I hope they continue their gang like escapades.

Trellis and Collette Making an umbrella for two out of a Cloak and a pole arm was amazing

Having the Pride come together in the kitchen and really help out was so much fun. I never felt isolated in the kitchen at any point. ( Shout-out to Martin, Cressida, and Robert as well for helping with cooking and cleanup)

My experience with my very first personal plot was really amazing and I'm so excited for what is to come.

I also loved the amount of new adventurers that came to dragon reach this event. That includes those who haven't adventured here in a very long time.

The really memorable
One of the best moments was Collette and Gideon having a simultaneous epiphany after Collette scolding Jim for being nothing but a meat shield in the way during the Valkarie fight.

Taios running up to tell those of us in the building that we read need to keep the portal up. NO WAY?! REALLY? THAT'S WHAT WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE DOING? I had no idea Taios, without that input I'm sure everyone would have died.

Being a part of a guild and the love that brings us together is such a full filling feeling both in and out of game and I'm so thankful to be an official member of the pride

Collette role playing with Tadron and Alabaster was nostalgic and really great as well

The bad

I felt as if I was not as prepared for the amount of people as I could have been with food. If anyone did not get their fill I truly apologize and I wont let it happen again. For next market I'm going to post what I will be making for the event and if anyone who is paying for food has any concerns please let me know ahead of time. This doesn't mean I will be taking orders for filet minon but it is much better that I know. It was difficult for me to have multiple people who paid for food to tell me after it was me that it wasn't a type of food they would eat. It's important to me all of you are eating and well fed and happy during events.

The torrential down pour. How dare you plot team.

There wasn't a lot of bad that I can point out. I do want to say that I agree with Chris Thetford and would just like to remind you all that all of you were new adventurers once. Rolling your eyes at adventurers who are putting themselves out there in our game isn't great for anyone. That doesn't mean your character has to be nice and friends with everyone at all. Just please be respectful, especially when people are really trying to find their space in the role play atmosphere. Thank you so much!

Great event guys! Thanks for the good times! I am 1000% in agreement with Thetford that all players need to reflect on their behavior from time to time as we are a community whose strength is each other.

Community is everything and new blood is vital!

Fantastic Event!

Pro
-The forming of the Moonless Nights gang. Gang names, gang signs, and getting to know players that I haven't played with. Plus all the fun conversation. Really looking forward to how far this rabbit hole goes :)
-Mostly every human that I conversed with informing me they weren't a slaver, and most willing to help if the opportunity presents itself.
-Chad the mad scientist and his puzzle; though did not get to interact with cause was busy trying to defend a portal gate.
-Getting a coded message and cypher key; being familiar with that style that and passing it off to one of my gang members to help teach them that coded message/cypher.
-Saying how bad nobility is (cause of the responsibilities) only to have the newly minted Baron Virgil overhear and sit down, and have pretty candid (and friendly) conversation. I think I might like this noble.
-Treasure was good on mods I went on.
-Learning about the Lightning and Dust Knights. Love the concept and great way to get out information to the PCs that they want to know.
-The welcoming environment of the players and staff.
-Bandit related mod lines that gave us (Moonless Nights) a over arcing plot line to pursue.
-The tornado, "uhh I don't think we are qualified to kill a tornado, but I guess we will come check it out". Sounded scary, though turns out when air elementals and earth elementals fight = tornado. Thanks for a good chunck of Emerald Flame coming to assist. (oh, and I hope to see the GoPro Cam footage/video).
-Much appreciated plot intervened to prevent our mod from getting hijacked.
-Job board mission went on was fairly straight forward.
-Placker bug mod was good, pushed us to our limit. Really liked how the big bug was stationary, allowing casters and archers their moment to shine in combat.
-Stayed busy the entire weekend, didn't feel like their was much downtime or delay. Which is AMAZING for 3-5 Runner/NPCs all weekend.

Mixed
-I am meh on the lowbie separation on the big fight. Felt like we had an important bit, but the lead in of Sloan feels that she should give me this flower/it absorbing into us felt weird. Liked the puzzle (see above). The ramping information mod was good. The tail end was meh too; never saw the Dark Valkyrie and those on the fighting the Dark Valkyrie side helping win the lowbie gate hold by body-ing over the puzzle to prevent monsters from attacking it (kind of felt like abusing the not effect or able to effect). Did appreciate those fighting the Valkrie helping fight things just on the other side of the gate however. Appreciate TC hoping the fence to play the villain of the weekend.

Con
-That rain later Saturday night. Buckets and Buckets of cold cold rain. Guess better Saturday night then Friday night.
-Afters was a bit of a jam. Know they were super busy, but waited a hour for drinks (and food).
-World is so big is difficult to really get a grasp of where we are. I imagine time will help.

I want to see the go pro footage from this event so bad

Loved
-All things Pride, seeing my group advance their own personal plots was incredibly fulfilling

Room for Improvement
-Tadron needs to go on more mods with Lukas
-We need more NPCs, our 3 plot people can only be in 3 places at a time and our player base is outgrowing that

Favorite Moments
-I really enjoyed all of the time in the kitchen just hanging out and helping

TSM

Pulled the footage from the go pro last night. Kinda like a more boring version of the Blair witch. Further testing at faster frame rates and higher quality will be needed. I have a larger storage card to use so we will make adjustments. Also I need to not wear it when I am an air elemental and randomly spinning.

While prolonged footage causes some motion sickness there are some truly great individual frames I am slowly peeling out of the video. I'll post those up this week on the SoMi Facebook page.

Thanks guys. I had a fun time!

Pro-seeing Brigit super excited about the Valkyrie plot.

Talking to the newer players when I got the chance (you guys whizzed in and out of the tavern). If I was apart of any young players feeling upset or left out, I apologize. I genuinely like all of you and didn't realize if it was me. I loved when you guys told me about the tornado.

Sneaking around and spying on the Oni.

Closing down the tavern with Ko.

Breakfast.

Con- getting there late and missing all the fun for Friday ( not plots fault).

The rain (I blame Chad. Build a machine to control the weather already).

Getting a latex sword thrust in my throat.

T.C.

I've been trying to wait until I had time to really sit and process my response into some great composition, but oh well.

I had a great time at the event! In game it was bittersweet as it was my first event since leaving HoG. It was sad to see them go off without me knowing I had no right to say "hey guys why are you leaving me behind?"

I loved all the lieutenant fights. The twins fight was tough, but doable. I both loved and hated the "why does he only have half a spirit?" WTF moment with Travis in the circle. The shield wall lieutenant was frustrating as a shield fighter, but it was great to see the casters and archers shining and saving the day.

Will post more, but I must go catch my bus

Okay, time to finish this...

I loved the Dark Valkyrie fight! How could I not. Seeing TC on the field in the circlet and black wings set off a visceral response that could only be created from years of work and great story. Thank you so much to Travis, Chad, and Inger for the hard work and tough fight. Thank you other PCs for keeping me alive. I almost died MANY times. Thank you to the new and newer adventurers for keeping the portal open. I never saw what was going on inside, but it couldn't have been easy.

Thank you all for putting up with me yelling, screaming, and calling everyone monkies (or cats).

My most memorable moment (besides "Somebody healing arts this B****!) Would be being attacked on the way back from the bathroom. That corner with the stump now has a picnic table. I had a flashlight to not run into it. But at the edge of my light I saw feet and realized "oh s***! That's Inger". I back peddled, but he's faster so I ended up dying on the ground. Thank you Ardos and The Pride for finding me before I dissipated. What made it so funny was that Ardos asked if I wanted an escort. I told him to come find me if I didn't come back in 5 min.

The only negative I can think of for the weekend was that I was so focused on the Dark Valkyrie and the lieutenants that I only went on 1 other mod. But that was my fault. Also the rain, but again, no one's fault.

Can't wait until June!

Hi y'all. Fantastic event to come back to after such a long hiatus. It feels like it's been longer than it has because this region does larp like nobody else. Thanks for the incredibly fun weekend! Thank you Louis and TC and everybody who NPCd and gave up their PC time this weekend to help make the game more amazing!

The good:

- Real puzzles. Say what!? I was certain you guys had somebody flipping a light switch on and off back there at first. Your rep for repping is legendary.
- In general the physrepping was always on point. I never personally never felt I had to ask "what do I see?".
- Including everybody on a town mod and everybody participating instead standing around in the back. Totally rad. How many times did I have to go on a completely separate mod or NPC the big town mod when I was relatively new to the game? Probably a billion.
- Power level felt balanced for me. Respectably verges towards the tough side sometimes but I think that's how most of us like it.
- PCs atmosphere was amazing. You guys hardly ever go out of game. Even saw OOG questions answered IG when people saw an opportunity to do so. Well done!
- There always seemed to be a lot more going on than I was keeping up with. For a relatively small team you guys sure kept up with a lot of players!
- I liked the defender/shield wall fight. It's not everyday you can't use PC numbers advantage to drop a line of NPCs.

The bad:

- No traps.
- Too much rain c'mon guys lighten up.

The ugly:
