As many have witnessed, the battlefronts of Strayden are anything but safe. A number of newer Adventurers have come into town over the last year or so wanting to help the war effort, but many have become stymied due to having no clear method by which to organize.
To help deal with this sad state of affairs, I'm pleased to announce the founding of a local Militia from among the Adventuring community. This Militia can provide a starting point for anyone new to town who wants to help protect Strayden from its enemies. Specifically, the Militia can act as a home for those who might not have a set group to adventure with or who do not know where to start in looking for the enemies of Strayden and working with others for self-defense on the battlefield. This Militia will be sponsored by the Silver Wolves to assist with material needs and training, but will determine its own path forward over time and will fight and adventure independently.
Thok and Flindo Featherfoot have agreed to take on the initial leadership roles for the Militia. We encourage anyone who might be interested to reach out to the two of them and ask about membership, whether permanent or temporary. If you find yourself in Barstow and want to help but don't know where to start, or your normal group was unable to attend a gather and you do not have a friendly back to watch out for you on the battlefield, contact the Militia for assistance and they can help find you a place.
Sir Tantarus will be organizing a town meeting meeting on Friday evening to discuss this item among others and introduce Thok and Flindo to those who do not know them.
