if you have a buckler (or other strap based shield that doesn't have a handle) and a two handed weapon, can you use both of them at once? what about bows and bucklers?

No. A shield essentially occupies one hand, meaning that if you're using a shield in that hand, you're not legally using another object in that hand.

How that works: If I'm using a buckled shield and a two-handed weapon, and someone strikes the shield, that actually counts as a legit hit against me. Likewise, if I'm using a buckled shield on my left arm, and a shortsword in my left hand, and someone strikes the buckled shield, I take the hit.

Does that help?

You cannot use (benefit) from both. You can only have a shield and one handed weapon. A bow is a two handed weapon although it can be used to block with one hand. There is no true buckler in Alliance. All shields must be easy to remove as they may be disarmed/shattered/destroyed.

Anytime!
