Undeliverable Emails

If you have emailed plot in the last few weeks you may have received an undeliverable mail notice. This has been repaired and all the emails were received. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience.

I just got several (8) "undeliverable emails" with regard to e-mails I've sent to the plot address (they all got bounced back today at 17:24). All of them you guys have responded to, I think (except 1), so I'm mainly mentioning it in case there is another problem.

Yeah, those emails can take 5-7 days to completely bounce, which made it mighty inconvenient to figure out what the problem was. As Ron said, it doesn't mean we didn't get them, just that it tried to also send the message to non-existent addresses. I fixed the problem Monday, so they should all be cleared up by next week.

I tried to send an email to plot last night and it failed to deliver (or says it did):

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

plot@alliance-seattle.com
SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<plot@alliance-seattle.com>:

bl.spamcop.net; Blocked - see http://www.spamcop.net/bl.shtml?199.204.248.105

It seems that spamcop.net has blacklisted your email server because somebody was using it to send spam to their honeypots. (At least, that's what it says at http://www.spamcop.net/w3m?action=blcheck&ip=199.204.248.105). Is this from your larper.com email? If so, Bryan might have some more information about it. Either way, it looks like that address will be delisted within 12 hours, so you should be able to try again pretty soon.

Yeah, the joys of having a shared hosting service. Adam - FYI, I started rerouting my outgoing larper.com email via Gmail's public SMTP servers a while back and haven't had a problem since.
