To all gathering for His Majesty's funeral,

Let it be known that in the estate of Abbot it is unlawful for private citizens to cast a Ward spell or lesser Circle of Power without having a noble, member of the estate guard or member of the local Mage's or Healer's guild invested. Guardsmen and guildsmen will make themselves available for ward casting over the next few days and all those wishing to cast these magics are required to seek them out beforehand. A lesser circle of power of the Earth aspect will be provided for the comfort and protection of visiting dignitaries for a nominal fee to cover the cost of the investiture. It is also unlawful for private citizens to attempt to gain access to the Greater Circles of power in the estate of Abbot, non-nobles and non-guildmembers are prohibited from entering the buildings in which they are housed. This is not intended as an insult or to be onerous, it is simply to limit the number of persons who have actually seen the circles due to Circle Walk incidents during the Glenrake War.

In service to the people and the law,
-Gil FitzKendrick, Sheriff of Abbot, Baronial Court of Romwing
