Wayfarer's Guild Members and Adventurers at Large,

The unusual increase in undead that leads into Candledark has not abated. For the few times that The Absence has been stable enough to explore this winter, large groups of mindless undead have been pouring out of an area of dense fog just outside of Cyric's End. Undead hunters from Earthmoot have attempted multiple raids into the fog only to be thwarted by instabilities in The Absence. Their resources exhausted, most of the hunters have assumed a defensive roll to protect Cyric's End or have returned to Earthmoot.

Stranger still, several dosen Xenites, the cryptic magical creatures native to The Absence, have been seen fleeing the areas near the fog. This is the first time a group of these creatures has made a coordinated action in unison for quite some time. Markings left by red, spider-like Xenties seem to spell out "Help" with arrows pointing into the fog. It seems whatever is causing the undead and the fog is also causing distress to these creatures as well.

Sorcerer Morgan has emerged from his research to give us a forecast of when The Absence will be stable enough to push into the fog. "The tidal forces of The Absence seem to mimic the phases of the moon such that turbulence seems to subside for several days before becoming increasingly dangerous to travel over the course of several weeks." Please consult with him after this dispatch for the time of this next "tidal stability".

With his prediction, we believe that the next stability will come up in the next couple of days, please gather appropriate resources and gather in Cyric's End in five days time to prepare for a coordinated raid into the fog.
