Themes
The world of Revenant’s Run is a post-apocalyptic fantasy world. The world that came before was a world of magic and high fantasy with brave knights and powerful sorcerers. However, a terrible calamity consumed the world and left it all in ruin.
But that was long, long ago, beyond living memory. The people that live in this world are constantly in a state of poverty surviving the horrible monsters, roving marauders, and harsh environment.
Expect a difficult campaign that will challenge players to be cognitive of their skills, abilities, planning, and resources in ways that are not felt in standard games. The chance for permanent death is also much higher in this game. With the higher likelihood of permanent death, be ready for the possibility of playing a new PC at any moment. Since this is a lower level game, and we are following the standard Alliance treasure policy, treasure will be scarce, and magic items or ritual scrolls may never be found.
Costuming
Although Revenant’s Run has post-apocalyptic themes, it is still a fantasy game. The following is a list of allowed costuming as well as recommendations for costuming:

Costuming
Although Revenant’s Run has post-apocalyptic themes, it is still a fantasy game. The following is a list of allowed costuming as well as recommendations for costuming:
- All Medieval/Renaissance Clothing is permitted. However, we recommend plain garb or to heavily weather it by adding tears, patches, and/or stains to it to show the garb has been used and passed on from person to person.
- Modern Jackets/coats made of leather, canvas, wool, etc. are allowed as long as they do not have modern logos or machined patterns. Patches and such are fine. This also includes jackets made of non-blue denim.
- Western wear, such as cowboy hats/boots, and flannel button up shirts are permitted.
- Victorian Era and Steampunk style garb are also permitted. Once again reiterating weathering outfits to better fit the post apocalyptic environment.
- All medieval and renaissance armor is permitted, however it is recommended that players limit the amount of full metal armor. As with clothing we recommend plain garb or to heavily weather it by adding tears, patches and/or stains to it to show the garb has been used and passed on from person to person.
- All weapons in a medieval style that follow the Alliance LARP weapons rules are permitted. We also encourage people to make weapons that appear more makeshift, such as clubs made with “metal” spikes in them, or swords that are no more than long slabs of rusted metal with a crude edge honed in.
- The use of firearm looking reps are not permitted to be used as sources or other props.
- Other modern items/props are not permitted to be used as in-game reps. Unless heavily modified to fit a fantasy theme, hiding the fact they are modern, such as putting cloth coverings over coolers to hide the plastic materials or having a facade of thin wood to make it look like a wooden crate.
