As a question, is there a trick to selling back spell slots? I have yet to figure it out.

Gaming in the Time of Coronavirus (Table Top RPGS)

MERPs. Man, there's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time. Rolemaster is a cool and good system if you're crunch-tolerant, and I wish you all the best in finding players!

    Favored Shield Shape

This right here is all the shield anyone needs. I don't like strapped shields in general for Alliance, because they're harder to get out of when you get disarmed, are packet magnets, and we don't hit hard enough to need the extra mass in a shield to help soak impacts.

    Alliance Instragram

Should tell someone to do a quick spellcheck: 'It is one of the oldest & largest Live Action Fantacy games in America. ' ;)

A PDF with screens would be trivial to turn into a powerpoint with voiceover. Just sayin'... :)

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

I mean after all, a Doom Blow that murders a crunchy who then goes and respawns and one that gets Dodged are identical results at the end of the day, only the first one feels a heck of a lot better for the PCs.

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

This has always been my philosophy of the game, and something I use in writing for tabletop RPGs. It is a lot easier to scale the enemies a little low and just add more spawns if the players are going through them easier than you thought than to recover the players' interest and good attitude...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

I'd take those backstabs over burst damage any day. At least in the games I've played in under 2.0, burst damage just doesn't land on anything you'd want to actually use it on.

Let's Build a Village at Nationals!

I personally still haven't found a tent I entirely like, although my current one is an inexpensive giant Ozark Trail yurt that I still haven't gotten to use. The biggest dealer I know of that's well reviewed are Panther Primitives, who make very nice tents but aren't remotely inexpensive...

Let's Build a Village at Nationals!

Define in-period. :) Are you looking for a Viking wedge, a medieval pavillion, an early modern wall tent?

    LCO Level Caps

Where would one find info on this? Low level cap games are interesting.

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

Interesting, that's part of why I hate the town fight. It, and the lead up to it, ties up all of plot's attention and NPC time for about a third of the active period for most of the events I go to, and there's nothing to be done besides that.

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

That's a whole thing. I despise town mods, especially the Saturday Night Town Fight (TM), because they all too often feel like the low-mid level characters are there to watch the Kings of Town get their Big Bad scalps and provide the expected level of praise. Given any choice in the matter I...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

From the perspective of someone who's been doing this for a long time? It's more that new players keep showing up and cycling out while the long-termers stick around and keep getting more powerful. A lot of the 'big cards' I see in the midwest today, I played with in their first few events...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

I personally wouldn't be against a gear reset, and I'm not sure if it would be a long-term bad thing if it encouraged people with decades old characters with full loot stacks to either make alts or take a little time off. The social strata in most games I've played in solidifies really fast...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

I think there is a gap in our new MI rules, in that there's a pretty limited set of interesting rituals for those who don't actually wear armor. Not going to complain too loud though, because if Arcane wasn't a thing I wouldn't be able to play anymore, as my bum knee wouldn't survive a...

    Combat Enjoyment since 2.0

My own views: I've found combat less satisfying (at level 24 Adept), although I'm not sure if that's a scaling issue or just my build being inefficient. I do ~1 point less damage per swing, but said damage seems much less effective. The lack of items to provide always-on damage buffs is very...

    Suggestions for weapon vendors?

Yeah, I have one Calimacil rep that I'd expect to pass at Chicago, and it's a two-hander that's been beaten up until it softened. My old saber was good enough to pass, but I had to significantly limit my use of it because I felt it hit too hard, and ended up going back to a boffer for added...

    Spooookkky Death breakup infograph

New prereg flow? Chris, thank you very much for the amount of volunteer work you're putting in on that. It is legitimately better than some of the tools I've worked with that people were paid to develop.
