[.11] Three Thoughts on Celestial Magic

They are not permanently locked into said race. Beyond that point if so many regret their choices then this is the exact argument to make against the intolerance of celestial by select races at least being optional if not removed entirely. If this simply isn't fun for players then we should...

[.11] Magic Strike needs to be General

I think the racial imbalance comes more from a whole game attempting to accommodate two races that can't use a school of magic. I know many players that make the huge disadvantage of no celestial work for them. I know more that have race changed to ditch the issue all together. I for one want...

[.11] Magic Strike needs to be General

I'm saying now is the time to address it. It is a much bigger problem that clearly we need to see to. It will affect so much, not just resources and magic tree balancing, or the disadvantages of races that chose to have said disadvantages. Plus... "to hit" just really isn't fun in the end. Even...

[.11] Magic Strike needs to be General

The original point ignores the fundamental problem. A limited resource in a "to hit" situation is good for NO ONE. It doesn't matter who is casting it. I was attempting to look for validation in your first concern and plot out what a potential fix it could present. Clearly we have found an...

[.11] Magic Strike needs to be General

Simply by removing “to hit” from monster cards. Auras should supply an advantage in a fight. Not determine if there can actually be one. Certainly not when they are a limited resource on a timer.

[.11] Magic Strike needs to be General

Looking at the playtest monster manual I see only minimized damage from normal and/or silver. While I know that is only 1 point of damage it is significantly different than "To Hit" meaning you have no hope of hurting the creature at all. With that said it only strengthens my point. If there...

    [.11] Monster Slayer/Healing Strike

It's reliant on you having the magic item though. Healing aura comes from skill that can be generated over any weapon you use. Or if you have High Magic you can swing it all day. That said while clearly the first enemy healing aura is for is undead they are not the only chaos enemy out there...

[.11] Magic Strike needs to be General

Nothing is X to hit anymore. Auras are made now to add advantage, not be the requirement. With temp effects from both spells and rituals having something be the requirement is too callous for monster cards.

[.11] Time to Get a New Life

I disagree. Unless you are factoring in golems of which I couldn't agree more. Leaving those out how is Celestial over powered?

[.11] Time to Get a New Life

I was catching up in here and this caught my eye. I mean this sincerely when I say I'm sorry if you ever put up with this. This is not standard, common, or frankly acceptable (barring extreme circumstances of course)..., but most importantly it is also not the norm for most chapters that I visit...

    Weapon weighting question

Counter weighting is allowed though you likely don’t need to go as far as putting anything that heavy down in the hilt. You can often counter just by using tape and grip wrappings to get what you are looking for. So long as the weapon is padded safely and no one is complaining of it hurting when...

[.11] Time to Get a New Life

Some friends of mine had a thought as we were discussing the need to make Celestial Magic more robust and balanced with Earth. Part of it I felt could contribute to this discussion. What if, in the spirit of the new meditate rule, Celestial had spells for use with expended skills and meditate...

    [.11] Riposting Strike

That was created by a buddy of mine to emphasize what a streamlined build into just using riposte to its maximum could yield, also what it took to get it to that level.

[.11] Time to Get a New Life

Being boned is sort of the point though. That’s what should happen if you lose big enough. Being able to be saved has been cheapened by the abundance of life spells. People use it to correct status effects when a purify can’t be found. That’s staggering. I can easily see why everyone is...

    [.11] Riposting Strike

From the looks of the builds a few people have put together Scout is the master of Riposte. At just over 400+ XP a scout with access to parry, evade, and dodge can riposte about 12 times with 1 doom and 1 evis in their pocket to fuel the whole thing. Put that guy on the front line with someone...

[.11] Time to Get a New Life

I find that to be a valid concern. I wasn’t trying to sound accusatory. Apologies. Still I feel starting with damage and slow ramping into dangerous territory during the play tests will at least create some kind of road map for plot to follow to get to the mythical “sweet spot”. [emoji16]

[.11] Time to Get a New Life

Respectfully this isn’t a game of us vs plot. Plot isn’t the bad guys, they just play them. We are all trying to have a good time. Plot is going to have to lean on the learning curve as well. They will need your help to find out where the sweet spot is. If we compensate right out the gate for a...

[.11] Time to Get a New Life

I grew up in a game where Life was a cherished and rare resource. We worked our asses off to keep everyone healed and stable because of the looming threat of Death. It lent to a massive importance to maintaining the health of yourself and others (it was an extremely low magic item game as well)...

    Thank you NPCS!

Just because I can’t say it enough. Thank you all for coming out in force and really giving the plot team a force to be reckoned with. Basically all the Pride and friends beat our asses proper and it truly was a privilege. Especially from those that drove long distance to come volunteer for a...
