National Geographic NOT on site: February 2013

Alliance HQ was contacted towards the end of 2012 by National Geographic about the possibility of filming a 15 minute segment about LARP for a TV show on their channel. Their shooting schedule was for mid-February. As some of you know, many of the East chapters close for the winter and don't run...

    Funny pictures

You don't need context for this, even though it sounds like you do. If you've ever been on plot, you've probably been there.

    Clubs in the new system

No bone swords (or stone axes, or whatever); Dryads are restricted from One Handed Edged, which any kind of sword/axe/spear would fall under.

    Board Registration Disabled?

That'd be super easy to check, though; just delete one user and see if you can register again. Though, purging some folk might not be a terrible idea, we've got 777 users with 0 posts, and while a few of them may be lurkers, I bet you could correlate that with 'last logged in' and drop over 500...

    Locks?

Oh, and I recommend those cheapo diary locks. Most of the IG work that goes into picking locks is done by the the legerdemain skill, not the actual player. These locks you can pick with a paperclip and always pass a marshal's check of "can it be picked." If you can't pick it, you can't use it...

    Locks?

    1) No, a lock is not a tagged item. 2) The lock shouldn't ever actually be attached directly to what it is keeping shut. The example in the book is using a key ring between the lock and the latch so that it can be 'unwound' or a tag ring that can be popped open when the lock is picked/shattered...

Just a note! The pre-pay deadline for the Seattle Event is the same Friday that the Oregon Event starts on!
