    Earth Celestial balance

Yup, no more golems. There's a list of rituals toward the end of the document that won't exist in 2.0 (I think Master Construct is after a page break so it's easy to miss).

    Earth Celestial balance

The Master Construct (golem) ritual is going away along with Spirit Store.

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

While I agree that this is technically true, the possibility of this happening seems so vanishingly small to me that I can't honestly see it causing a real issue unless the plot team decided to make it an issue intentionally. I just can't think of a monster where I would need it to be immune to...

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

Ok, so there is one offensive bindo spell that isn't removed by Release and one offensive Curse not removed by Cleanse, so to resolve any inconsistency in that pattern obviously the thing to do is to create a new Command spell that isn't removed by Awaken. That way there's one in each effect...

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

You could toss a Bind on the guy that threw it ;)

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

So, um... I don't know if I'm going to be helping by pointing this out, but I feel like we're using exception/inconsistency in two different ways? Like Group A is saying "Death would be different from the other Curse effects" and Group B is saying "it's consistent because we would write it in...

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

Hmm, ok fair enough, though if I wanted to be that guy about it I would argue that with Eviscerate you have to get to 0 body on the way to -1, and would therefore crumble anyway :p but if curse-Death is intended to affect undead, I'll have to concede the semantic argument. Mechanically it...

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

Because Undead, constructs and elementals crumble at 0 body and cannot achieve the state "dead." Plus they're already immune to the Paralysis curse at level 8. Now that's an interesting idea. So you would have "I grant you the power to Awaken/Release/Cleanse"?

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

I'm now noticing another weird thing with Gift effects being gone. In the current rules, if you're greater undead it Reverse Life Forced, you generally take reversed Healing/Necro but are immune to Gift. So in 2.0, would you be reverse Healing/Necro other than Life and Corrupt, or should you be...

Was this sanctioned, and by whom?

I had hoped to remind you that your past history of fomenting the adventurers to insurrection has not been forgotten; however, if you prefer to hold onto your sense of pride in your criminal history, by all means continue digging this hole. I'm sure Oliver will be interested to see how deep you...

Was this sanctioned, and by whom?

In the interests of transparency and disclosure that the populace are apparently so eager to demand, allow the record to show that Miss Avacyn "Iron Rose" was previously put to death for physically breaking into a building in order to disrupt the Ducal Council and influence its outcome. High...

    Odd Power Curve

So I'm not sure how it is other places, but where I play what usually happens is there's a big fight Friday night (sometimes Saturday right after lunch), then 6 pm logistics, then the BIG big town fight. So everyone has just gotten their skills back when the "important" fight happens anyway. In...

Not quite, most are sent but the rest should be out tonight. Thank you all for your patience.

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

Fine, but then the "exception" just moves down one step-- What does Cleanse do? Removes all Curse effects (*with a duration.) Which Curse effects have a duration? All of them, except Death. Cleanse was added to make Curse similar to the effect groups with a single remove-all spell, eg Release...

Was the Gift "school" hard to grasp?

That's what I would have said about magic being both a damage type and a qualifier, to be honest ;P but that has been simplified out. I agree with Gilwing that I kinda preferred it the old way, partly because I always considered Gift to be pseudo-spirit targeting effects, as opposed to the...

Do Elf Scholars Die at 145 Build?

That would be a pretty big oversight, but luckily I'm pretty sure it kicks in every ten *body*, rather than every ten build. So Elves get ten percent less body overall.

    Favorites for September guest event

Thanks Dave and the normal plot team for letting us borrow your chapter. I hope you had fun! Also thanks to Duncan, Jeremy and Teague, as well as all our new NPCs. All of your, new and old, had great energy and looked great every time you went out! I hope we see you all again next time. Also...

    Asking for Clarifications

Oh! Gotcha, thanks for the clarification! (I was sort of looking for it to be different somehow since it can now affect a living person, and "the condition it would have been in" only makes sense when being dead was a prerequisite.)

    Asking for Clarifications

In that case I'm confused about why it mentions a ten minute duration, since death counts are five minutes...? Edit: I see that the same clunky wording is in the old version. Never mind, then.

    Asking for Clarifications

Re: #1, the fourth paragraph says that when it expires, "the body and the spirit return to the condition they would have been in had the Corrupt not affected them." Is this intended to mean that if you're alive when it hits you, your death count starts at zero when you get to 0 body/after ten...
