Have you considered accounting for when players are taught new skills but haven't spent the xp on them yet? They would technically have "0" in that skill listed.

Throwing another idea out there. What if a certain amount of Channel points equals a Life spell? 50? 100? 150? I suppose 150 makes the most sense balance-wise considering that it is the equivalent to the total damage output of a level 9 magic storm, but that seems a bit high. Thoughts?

Not that this refutes your other valid points, but having appearance-based armor is very advantageous for non-fighters. My AA will expire next year and assuming the rollout goes through, I am strongly considering buying a faux chainmail shirt, since the shirt by itself hits my rogue max armor...

Is there a time limit to respond with the "free" skill attack after you use the defense? Or is it essentially like a poison coating attack where the next swing, no matter when (within a 5 day limit per the new rules) will be that attack?
