Trace, where'd you get that estimate?

So i'm a little disgruntled... Took the boots to a place up here in FoCo. Cheapest pair of soles they had was about $56. Seeing as how I only sunk $40 into the boots, this seemed a little much (especially compared to your $10 estimate Trace). I don't know enough about it to be able to judge...

Sucked it up and just threw some money at it. Does anyone know any weatherproofing solutions to keep the boots nice? They appear to be some sort of microfiber (http://www.anytimecostumes.com/hallowee ... 303BR.html)

So, relooking at this.... Since I bought goblin blankets for the tavern night I missed, I will be starting with 20bp. The way I see it I can buy Claws, Florentine and Two Weapons if i'm a fighter for 14bp or as a scholar for 20bp. Either way, the 6bp I "save" by being a fighter at first...

They weren't that expensive/very nice in the first place. Looked at JC Penny's a little online and their stuff seems a little pricey.

Coming up with things so I can be as prepared for the first event as possible... Does anyone have/know where I can get a good pair of boots for cheap? My old pair's soles finally gave out on me.

Here I go with another question... What are spell tags/how do they work? The whole having tags with flags thing is a whole new ballgame for me.

Valid points are valid. Another option occurred to me.... Would it be more beneficial to start out as a fighter and then go from fighter to templar to scholar? Class seems fairly malleable. I unfortunately won't be at the tavern night :(
