I do happen to have a 'back problem' and I'm still able to wear a 25# shirt of maille. One of the first things that I put on is a back brace. Another way to enable yourself to wear a maille shirt, is to make sure that your sword-belt is on nice & tight and that will take the place of the back...

The welded mesh looks nice, but IMHO it wouldn't stop a sneeze. I prefer to make my own and it looks more realistic. Just my $0.02 In regards to the weight issue of wearing 'realistic' maille, grow stronger. :duel2: :duel:
