2012 Staff Positions - Now Hiring!

Hey everyone,

Now that the 2011 season is over, we're looking at filling our staff for 2012. We're not assuming anyone is coming back for another tour of duty - so if you have interest in any of these positions, please, contact myself at waysidelogistics@gmail.com, even if you filled that role last year. Head of Rules
Compensation: 100 goblin stamps per event, plus bonuses, plus 3 MI picks per season
Responsibilities:
  • Implements marshal tests with owner and GM
  • Coordinates with HOP on LCO effect verbiage
  • Coordinates with newbie marshals on proper education on new players

Head of Plot
Compensation: 750 goblin stamps and one MI pick per event
Responsibilities:
  • Must be at ALL events and plot meetings
  • Is held to a service level agreement of responses to players of seven days from player contact to reponse
  • Is responsible for responding to IBGAs, or ensuring that proper plot members respond
  • Coordinates plot meetings
  • Ensures that plot schedules are created and kept during events
  • Ensures that prop requests and treasure requests are prepared at least 14 days before each event
  • Is responsible for coordinating individual PC plots to the members of the plot team
  • Is responsible for working at least one Alliance LARP Chicago convention appearance

Plot Team Member
Compensation: 500 goblin stamps and one MI pick per event
Responsibilities:
  • Must be at ALL events and plot meetings
  • Is responsible for responding to IBGAs passed to them by the Head of Plot
  • Is responsible for writing and running at least four modules per event.

Part-Time Plot Team Member
Compensation: 250 goblin stamps per event
Responsibilities:
  • Is responsible for writing and running at least two modules per event.

Tavern Coordinator
Compensation: 500 goblin stamps and one MI pick per event
Responsibilites:
  • Is responsible for creating the tavern menu, and posting it online at least seven days before the event
  • Is responsible for cooking the meals during the event
  • Is responsible for managing any food donations, and communicating them to the General Manager
  • Is responsible for handling of tavern funds and the tavern tabs
  • Is responsible for going with the owner to purchase food, as well as the food's transport to the site
  • Is responsible for coordinating the tavern clean-up, and is given a discretionary goblin stamp pool to use to reward those that help

Monster Camp Coordinator
Compensation: 300 goblin stamps plus one MI pick per event, plus bonuses per wash of 300 goblin stamps and an MI pick
Responsibilties:
  • Is responsible for packing the van on event days, and unpacking the van within 24 hours of the end of the event.
  • Is responsible for for managing major props with the plot team
  • Is responsible for coordinating the donation list supplied by the Head of Plot
  • Is responsible for acquiring anything needed by plot on the donation list that isn't donated (and will be compensated for any funds used)
  • Is responsible for setting up Monster Camp as soon as they arrive on site each event
  • Is responsible for packing Monster Camp into the van at the end of each event, and coordinating the cleanup of the tavern with the Tavern Coordinator

Webmaster
Compensation: 500 goblin stamps and one MI pick per update
Responsibilities:
  • Is responsible for quarterly updates to the site.
  • Is responsible for creation of site content, and coordinating with the General Manager, Owner, and Head of Plot on creating content for the site
  • Bonus compensation is available for redesigning the website up to once per year, with bonus compensation based on quality, with a minimum of 1000 goblin stamps and three MI picks available

Logistics Person
Compensation: 250-500 goblin stamps and one MI pick per month, plus pre-event labor hours compensated at 10 goblin stamps/hour
Responsibilities:
  • Is responsible for assisting the General Manager with preparing scrolls, MIs, preregistration packets and treasure at the General Manager's home 24-72 hours before each event
  • Is responsible for running the second day logistics at each event.
