<A message from a one "Thousand Bones">

<An orc has come here asking for my services. As a scribe, I will translate as best as I can. He did say to write this letter in red ink as it amused him. When I asked why, he said it reminds him of a shaman writing in blood. Sigh>

"Future Meat shields <I am assuming this is a friendly term where he comes from?>, I am Thousand Bones of the Bleeding Eye Clan. Thousand Bones has heard of many dark deeds of the **** <dung> covered horned ones! <Minotaurs> I come here to prove my worth to your champions and to show the true might of my clan."

<At this point he goes on and on, explaining that in his culture it is customary to attack the "toughest" warrior to see if he should follow or lead... or some nonsense like that. I explained the laws of the land and how assault is a punishable crime. He then explained that he can prove himself by killing the toughest monsters around. This orc seems to be very archaic in his mindset.>

"Thousand Bones is looking to belong. Bones wants to find other like minded warriors to travel up with. Even those of the Bleeding Eye know that to group up in bands is far better than doing things alone. This Orc doesn't have much in the way of coins nor does he have any decent trade like the pink skins of the cities. But Bones is a strong and a cunning warrior. Find me in 2 weeks and Thousand Bones will show you what he is talking about."

<When I asked how he would like his letter signed, he gave me a confused look. I asked if he had any titles and he, once again, went into his long lineage. He told me to write down things like "Paver of Roads" and "Kin Slayer" (which I can only assume means he kills other, more feral, orcs), not to mention something about being a son or scion to Vrogosh; whatever nonsense that is. So I will simply sign this for him as...>

"Thousand Bones of the Bleeding Eye Orcs"

<On a final note, when I asked this Orc to pay for the message he just laughed and slapped me on the back before leaving my establishment. He shouted out behind him saying that I should just add it to my paper collection when I was done sending it through the mists. As if he doesn't know how hard it was to pay for my education or how to send letters to specific locations in the mist! Normally I would just throw this letter out, but he does seem a capable warrior and perhaps could be of use to your town.

Dear Jacob Townsend,

Though Family matters mean I may not be at the next meet, contact me and I'll arrange for a day's basic scrivener wages for your work, double that if you let Thousand Bones of the Bleeding Eye Orcs know that Maxvell d'Irons will gladly meet him in a circle of eaquals and fight to first blood should they meet.

Maxvell, last of the Ironbloods.

<Thank you kindly, Ironblood Maxvell. But I consider this a charity case. However, perhaps you can keep this conversation between us? I would hate for this orc to realize I am speaking behind his back in a manner unfit of a gentleman. Perhaps, also, I can teach him how to communicate through the dreaming so he won't be of need of me anymore.>
