A site I used to work on as a mod, supermod, and then admin asked me to set up a mock election to give some of their more prolific debaters a chance to stretch their skills. Basically, I wrote up some profiles and outlined some given stances upon which to start their capaigns to "run for president", and If anyone's interested, I figured I'd put the shout out for people to jump in and mix things up. The "Candidate Announcement" thread can be found here, and there are new threads forming to open up the floor for debates, discussion, and so forth.
One of the site's other big draws is text-based RPGs, KingsofChaos, and the like, so it could be a good recruiting ground for new players. Ya never know.
