There are events unfolding now, within the Northlunds, between the Traditionalists that support Slavery and oppression, and the Rebels that seek freedom from all oppression. Their are efforts by the Rebels that would disrupt life for the Traditionalists and bring about an end to oppression, even for those that do not seek to be liberated.
There are farms that have been burned, and slaves that have fled to find freedom from their oppressors, and those loyal to the Traditions that have fought to keep their culture of oppression alive and well. Many are angry; many are afraid; and many more are peacefully returning to their master for it's the only thing they know.
Some of the refugees have made it to a Refugee camp in the Northlunds, it has been said that it has been set up by Lord Bluewater.
Some of the refugees have been assisted by the Romani.
Some of the Refugees have been returning to their homes and to the Traditionalists.
Regardless of the side that is supported, remember that all players in this are countrymen. The Dwarven hold dear to their generational beliefs, as strongly as the Rebels, and as each of the Slaves.
