Backpacking sounds fun. If anyone needs a 9 by 12 army tent, just ask me. It can fit five people, with room to stand up and walk around. I have others, though they be a bit smaller.
Just as a note, you guys do realize you would be:
*Carrying your gear uphill on a trail while having to deal with the possibility of attack from various "woodland creatures"
*Setting up camp at a designated rest spot while having to deal with the possibility of attack from various "woodland creatures"
*Eating cold food, since there are no fire pits up there, while having to deal with the possibility of attack from various "woodland creatures"
*camping out of doors while having to deal with the possibility of attack from various "woodland creatures"
*investigating whatever is there while having to deal with the possibility of attack from various "woodland creatures"... and whatever is in there...
You get the picture? This is not something for the faint of body or heart. As described by someone, this is *hard core* adventuring. It's an expirement designed for a few people to go on, and certainly not the entire town. If it works, there will likely be more such things in the future. At this point in time, I am looking at June, since the spring rains seem to be in full effect and I expect April will be damp. This will also give light later into the evening.
Thus far, I have the following slated for possible participation -
Solomon
Avaran
Polare
Gregor
Amelie
Ellie
Did I miss anyone? If each of you could email me at dave(at)neroseattle(dot)com to confirm interest, I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
