A wolfs cry...

Dorune

Newbie
The shadows move of their own accord and all is quiet. The tree's move around slowly in the light wind, their leaves falling quickly in the breeze. A full moon shines down from the sky and its light catches a still form of a person standing atop a hill, looking at the sky. A cloud passes in front of the light and the man raises his head and howls to the sky, a noise filled with pain. The sleeping birds from the nearby trees awake and fly away startled.

"Raeanna..." a voice rumbles from the man, though his lips do not move, "Raeanna, where are you?" the man drops his eyes to the ground and he does not look back up.

The cloud passes from in front of the moon and the light catches his features. His wolf features show and he looks up and the moon shines on his eyes.

"I am sorry for troubling your sleep, good people, but I have made a terrible mistake. If any of you know of the dark elf, Raeanna, please call on me. It is of much importance," the man says slowly, going over his words carefully. He looks down and quietly, as if whispered by the wind itself, two last words can be heard...

"I'm sorry..."

The Image of the hill top fades, and a shimering spider web takes its place. In the center of the web sits a spider scavenger. He raises his face at the sounds of the wolfs cry.

Mercy,

Quit disturbing my sleep, the one you ar looking for is under my care and protection. She has spoken to me a little of you, and if you wish to see her, we will be in still run in a handfull of days. But be warned, any harm that is brought to her while she is with me will be brought back to you ten fold by me and my kin.

Tanis

The wolf slowly fades back in on top of hill top and he has a slightly surprised and apologetic look on his face.

Tanis,

Please give Raeanna my deepest apologies for everything and I am sorry if I have angered you for my rash actions. Know that I mean her no harm in anyway. I cannot be in Stillrun in a decent amount of time, but please give her a message. Tell her of my apologies, which I know I cannot say enough, and that I will once again meet with her in the land of the Crossroads.

I will be in your debt if you do this for me and I am sorry for disturbing your rest.

Mercy

The spider web does not reapear, but these words echo in your dream.

Your words will cary to the land beyond the dream.

A voice carries to the hilltops

Mercy,

We shall speak in the Crossroads in one months time.

Let's have still dreams until and beyond then.

Raeanna
