About the Dreamscape?

I know it's probably a silly question but i haven't been able to find anything telling me what it is or how it functions *i'm probably missing an obvious FAQ somewhere*.. is the Dreamscape something everyone accesses when they're asleep? is it merely called the Dreamscape and it's not really a realm of the subconscious at all? or what?

I want to post but don't know how to go about doing so in an in-game fashion..

Some say it's the dreaming world, some say it's somewhere in the mists. The point is, it's a place where communication can flow between PCs (and NPCs) IG during down time. There are a few rules about using it, like if your character is currently captured or something you can't tell people where he is. Otherwise, write how your character would (Gurv is like the awesomest character to read on the dreamscape, btw). Keep in mind that anything you say can, and probably will, be used against you at some point. :P

I haven't got forever... well, maybe I do.

I have to step in just to agree :)

Gurv is fun to read, so is Justin... though of the two, you're more likely to understand what Gurv is saying.

Think of the dreamscape as downtime, off camera, offstage, backstory, or the rare bit of flashback humor. (Narrator: "I still can't think of anything.")

You're accountable for what you say and do there, but it will be hard for others to quote you verbatim... there is no print function, and sleepy people tend to forget a lot when they wake... but they'll remember enough.

Well, that's cool, thank you *s* what perspective is it in/from? i mean, is the dreamscape a cluttered array of thoughts and images? is it a place where everyone has first-person conversation, as we are doing now? should it be more in third-person perspective? i just want to get the feel of the place so i know what technique to use.

Well, for that, I'd recommend just reading some of the posts. :)

good point, i'll do that *s* thanks..
