Welcome 2012!
It is never too early to start thinking about the new season, so here is a little advertisement for the opener. The actual blurb for the opener (and every other event for the season) should go online shortly, so you'll have to wait a bit to read that.
The goal for the opener is numbers. We really want to see all of our friends return for the great season ahead. To that end we need two things:
1) PCs - As many as possible, so we have people to entertain
2) NPCs - As many as possible, so we have the ability to properly entertain all of those PCs
If you are wondering whether you should PC or NPC, here are some tidbits to whet your appetite one way or another.
1) This weekend will be especially fun to PC if your character hates trolls.
2) This weekend will be especially fun to PC if you play a biata or a close friend of a biata.
3) This weekend will be especially fun to PC if you enjoy difficult trade-offs (everyone can participate in this, not just nobles).
4) This weekend will be especially fun to PC if you enjoy monsters in the woods.
I) This weekend will be especially fun to NPC if you like simple and consistent stat cards.
II) This weekend will be especially fun to NPC if you like making PCs squirm.
III) This weekend will be especially fun to NPC if you like really understanding the motivations of the NPCs you play.
IV) We still need 3 experienced players to commit to NPC, with the potential of playing a major recurring villain (think Fangthorn, The One, Lochaber, etc). If this last one interests you, please PM me or send me an e-mail at mikestrauss@yahoo.com.
The opener will knock your socks off. Pre-reg to PC! Pre-reg to NPC! You won't regret it.
