Alchemy info needed

Apprentice
I am an earth caster with a 4 4 3 2 1 tree
I have create potions and a shop with seattle Nero, working on a shop with Oregon, want to take care of this on Saturday legistics.
what would it take build, or coin wise, to sell alchemy, it seems we are lacking someone in this area. Is there a way I can work this into my shop?

if someone could let me know so I know before the event.

Thanks for the help on this matter.

Well, in seattle Kauss is known to sell alchemy.
Normaly if you want to by a shop its 10 gold no matter what shop you buy.

And as to build, alchemy works like all the other ones, so its 5PP per level, 10 pp if you have a shop. So you want to buy as many levels as the most impressive alchecmy you want to make costs you to make.

Not sure if this answered the questions (I kinda shotguned answered.) If not ask again and I will see what I can tell you. (If this is an oregon only issue (Like IG laws and the like) you might want to post on the oregon/alliance board to get their attention.) (http://www.nerohq.com)

Val -

I think the key thing here is that Alchemy is a different skill from Create Potion.

Every time you buy Create Potion, you get more ability to make more and/or bigger potions every day. The potions are pretty much just vials of Earth Spells - so you can do a potion of say Awaken, but not anything that's *not* an Earth Spell. No Ward potions, no Flame Bolt potions, no Nausea potions.

Alchemy requires different prereqs - you'll need to get Herbal Lore and then some levels of Alchemy. Just like Create Potion, the more levels of Alchemy you have, the more Alchemy potions, gas globes, or coatings you can make every day.

It sounds like all you'd need to start making Alchemy is Herbal Lore and some levels of Alchemy with your character.

Be Kauss's compitition I have no problems with that. I noted that part becouse I didnt know if you wanted to make alchemy, if you want to have a source for it for a shop, or if you just had general alchemy questions:).
If your the right kind of class, alchemy is very usefull to have, and a moderate level in it (5-10) can keep you in some nice cash.

Also (and this is just a friendly suggestion, I try never to tell people what to do with their chars) if you are planning on making a merchant type character and not just a potion vendor, I would suggest you take Evaluate Item and Read Magic, as well as at least Herbalism. The evaluate will allow you to accept gems and such as payment, the Read Magic will make it handy so if you pick up some magic armour scrolls and stuff like that you can use them yourself or sell the casting of them to others, and Herbalism will at least allow you to identify alchemical substances, either for buying from other players or selling down the road, even if you can't use them yourself. Won't cost you that much build to pick up these basics either, but makes you much more handy in a merchant setting.

Since I play a merchant, I will submit my merchant skills for an example..
evaluate object
blacksmithing
herbal lore
healing arts
read and write
(No read magic, but hey, look at the cost for me)

Cost nothing, if you ever took read magic Tharval would throw a net over you, beat you silly, then drag you to a dark hole where nice people would "cure" you.
