And we have a teaser up to whet appetites!
A Game of Stones
“A paranoid is someone who knows a little of what's going on.”
― William S. Burroughs
The massive sky chariot raced far above the clouds, rising higher and higher. The chariot shot into the dark storm clouds of home; heavy, black, and pendulous. Once enveloped in the Endless Storm Baron Boom addressed the sky around him, “Emperor Neyen,” boomed Boom, “it is confirmed. The mortals have allied with Stone, but not yet Genesis.”
A diminutive voice squeaked an answered that floated down on the wind, “This will not do; Angana will be quite displeased. We must act before she discovers, there is no need for her to worry needlessly. She must not be disappointed, Boom! We must break the alliance.”
“The alliance is nascent, Emperor. It will be handled, but do not worry. You rest; Emperor, a storm must gather before its true power is unleashed.”
“Perhaps you're correct, Boom. I’m still so weary from my last encounter with her. I trust you to handle this.”
Boom let out a thunderous laugh. "If everything goes according to plan," he replied, "the situation will handle itself."
Meanwhile elsewhere,
Justin was collecting flowers not far from the area claimed by Stone, when the earth began to shake. The blue-haired teen was knocked to his feet as the earth cracked and mighty trees came crashing down around him. It was brief, but powerful. Justin grabbed the flowers he had picked and started running towards the Bastion.
“Noelle! Calli! Shin! I’m coming!”
Meanwhile elsewhere,
Lord Obsidian’s new chisel was making quick work of his task, when he was interrupted by one of his soldiers.
“My lord, Macadam and Shale report they still have not indicated a source for the disturbances in the Plane’s mantel. What are your orders?”
“First, do not disturb me while I work. Second, I only require updating when there has been progress. No report makes it quite clear there has been no progress. If Macadam and Shale cannot locate the source of the tremors, perhaps it is time to turn to the mortals for assistance. After what I have been doing for them, they should be most agreeable.”
