Hi everybody!
I have been doing Logistics for Alliance Seattle for 2.5 years along with Amy who started helping about a year and a half ago or so. In that time I learned a lot about how the game is run, made tons of new friends, and had ups and downs through the term.
As most of you are aware, I am stepping down from doing Logistics. The commitment has been too great for me recently and as such my quality of service dropped significantly for which I apologize. I want to thank all of you who have been patient with me over the past 7 months or so, I want to thank Amy for helping out, and I want to thank Alliance Seattle for the honor of being Staff for so long.
Eric Echelbarger is replacing me as Head of Logistics. He had previously been Logistics about 5 or 6 or so years ago, but at that time between school, work, and Logistics his life was too hectic to juggle all three so he decided to leave Logistics back then. But, now he is back and ready take on the beast again! He brings with him knowledge of Logistics processes, managerial experience for managing the Logistics workload among the Logistics team, and a slew of organizational ideas to help Logistics become even more efficient. Thank you, Eric, for stepping up and accepting the position!
It should be noted that Crystal Echelbarger will also be helping with Logistics, but she is not officially part of the team at the moment. So, if you see an e-mail that is from her or if she is behind the desk when you check in don't be surprised.
Barbara Martin is also joining the Logistics team. Everyone knows she is crazy good at math, has crazy happy energy, and is for the most part crazy. She has a lot of enthusiasm and excitement about joining the Logistics team and looks forward to working with everyone, both Staff and players, as the new Logistics team gets settled in.
Amy will be staying on with the Logistics team, for which Eric and Barb are thankful! She knows how to use the existing tools, is nearly OCD in being organized, and is current with how to process Logistics. Since Amy is still currently a member of NPC guild she also brings to the team the flexibility of going out-of-game more easily to handle on-site Logistics queries or issues.
I beseech all of you, players and staff, to be patient during this transition period. The new Logistics personnel are still getting the hang of using the tools as well as organizing who is doing what when so there may be some slight confusion or delay in processing your pre-registrations.
Thanks again for all of your patience, your support, your thanks, and your friendship! I look forward to being able to play a PC worry free with you all once again.
Thanks,
Seth Bird
