Icenians and friends from other lands,

I share this dream to inform you of the passing of Dame Jovunn Rannveig. Dame Jovunn served in humility and with Valor. While in Falkirk defending the people there from the forces of the Ross and the Ogre abominations Dame Jovunn defeated their leader in combat and then chose to sacrifice herself to restore balance and remove the maligned effects of death on the populace as well as stopping the malwoerth forever.
This was her choice. She could have saved herself but the influence of death would still infect others and more innocents would die. She gave herself to save all restore balance and help return the landbond to the Duke.

I was once told that as a spirit makes it way to it's rightful place it can hear the tales of those that speak of it. those stories told light the way. I humbly ask to share stories of her. Talk about your experiences with her and make her journey easier.

I had the honor of knowing this woman, warrior, hero and wife. I will know no other one like her.
My thanks in advance for helping her journey.

By my hand,
Sir Marcusagrim Anvilstrike

I had hope others would start, but I will light this path for the knight who had small stature, but a giant heart. I remember the time I started to be in Jovunn's company, the first is when the Vakkar first appeared. There was three of them down by the fire pit, Jovunn, myself and someone else came down to talk with them. All they want to do was fight, and they only wanted to fight Jovunn. She had her sword, but had left her shield up in the tavern. Seeing that I was carrying mine, without looking at me she punches me in the arm and holds out her hand. I promptly placed my shield there.
My first trip through the mist to Barran sticks out as well. Jouvnn had been trapped there for three months, I had all of my marshall skills taken away replaced with a vast pool of earth spells. We spoke on alot of subjects, but the one that stuck out the most was Jouvnn talking about how she was walking a straight path and she needed to walk quickly upon it. I ask her why she did not slow down and see the other paths that might branch off to other ways that may also lead her to where she was going. I offered many questions to Jovunn and in return she offered many to me. I still ponder some of them to this day.
Seeing Jovunn with her white belt was a good day. It was in the Reclaim and I was returning from hunting for food and she was sparring with someone. Since healing magic was not working well with in the Reclaim at that point my age made itself apparent. I knelt down and she told me to rise and that is when my right knee gave out and I said that I was fine where I was. She immediately walked over and offered to help me stand back up, which I was grateful for. It was also there that I made her a promise which I now see I can not keep so I will try to walk parallel to it.
Dame Jovunn was one of the many bright lights that shined in this world. I considered it an honor to be first counted as a friend then as a brother. I will make sure that Jouvnn Earthsong knows of her namesake, the proud warrior, the caring sister, and to Grim a loving wife. But I will also tell her of Jovunn's faults for she should not be made perfect, because none of us are. I hope these words will light the path for you little sister, your big brother will look to the stars in the night sky, hoping you are looking back at him. Be at peace My lady, we will take it from here.

I grieve for my shield-sister.

We met in Barran and with few words we knew we were kindred spirits. We fought side by side and slew many undead together. She proved herself honorable beyond a doubt, and willing to sacrifice everything if necessary. She stood in the face of great adversity and triumphed gloriously. She was the first to pledge herself to the cause of my people, to join me in the reclamation of my baan, and I will never forget that.

Last autumn we came to know that Death needed a vessel. Without hesitation, Jovunn offered herself, knowing she may not survive it; to her, knowing that she would be saving her land, her people, and her kingdom was well worth the sacrifice. She accepted the burden of power with great humility and grace. It was my greatest honor to know such a person, one who accepted this great burden without fear, one who stood for all that is right for her people.

I will honor her legacy and celebrate the passing of her spirit with a swift blade and an unyielding shield.

Thank you, Jovunn Rannveig. May you fight great battles in the afterlife.
